I told my doc that some of what I read about BPD sounds like me, he told me if I truly feel I relate to this, he recommended the book "I hate you, don't leave me" to read before our next appointment if I have extra time. Which is in like 5 weeks. I seen that this book is mention here too on your blog. I guess my quick question is, what has been the most helpful book for you? I want to assume this one, yet I ask just to make sure LOL.
Hi, Your videos are really good for people looking up info on this. It's really nice of you to share your story with everyone, it's comforting to know your side of it.
I'm pretty sure my boyfriend has this, he defiantly needs help and he's being very mean to me lately.. so I don't really know what to do about that. I'll keep watching your videos and try look for an answer :-)
I've been doing a lot of research on BPD lately, because I believe I may have it. I seem to fit all the criteria. What would you recommend that a person do if they wanted to get themselve's diagnosed?
I mean, sure, I fit all the criteria, but I feel like they could all just stem from things that I've taught myself over the years. The emotional side is tricky even, seeing as I feel like I hide that stuff a lot (up until recently at least, emotions have been bursting off more lately).
i'm not sure if you saw this, Danzi, but I agree and am wondering if you have had something traumatic that happened in your own childhood? I often wonder if my own daughter has symptoms of this due to a rough childhood as well. (BPD is a SYMPTOM of the real problem - psychological wounds from early-childhood trauma. See sfhelp.org/gwc/gwc.htm (by a veteranj family therapist)
Thank you so much for this video! The examples really allowed me to understand BPD better. I was just diagnosed with BPD after a misdiagnosis of Bi Polar for 13 years. Thanks again so much!
listening to this i'm like waiiit, this sounds like me. like all of it. i'm currently in the process of getting a diagnosis for aspergers but i'm starting to think it's not that and it's something else instead. i really shouldn't attempt to self diagnose though. good video :)
I'm not trying to be funny, but most of these symptoms aren't very away from the average female. Are women more likely to have this disorder or are both sexes equally represented?
@thedanizblog i did have impulsive behaviour like bulimia, permiscuity with men (that lasted about 6 or 7yrs) and self medicated like overdosing on my medication. I think its important to do things like dbt or medication but having a normal life like social or working thats important. Im quiet but its not healthy to not leave my house. Thanks for subb for me.
@thedanizblog i was lucky i got diagnosed straight away since i fitted the whole critieria and i was blessed to get help. When i was 17 i would get hyper and run away from home and rome the streets worry my family. Id lock myself in my room crying. I was in and out of hospital for a year. I have done dbt. Its been a nightmare and i feel alone and mis understood. I have found comfort in ppl like u. Its a horrible disorder but iv gone back to study and working so im not going to let it beat me.
im bipolar..but this sound more like me!! ALL of it...should i tell my doc that or just keep it to my self??? I hate talking bout it so idk what i should do?
I have been suffering with BPD for 23 years going on 24. I need to start talking to someone who is living with the same thing. Because it honestly sucks.
I seriously think I have this... I'll send you an inbox message to let you know everything and maybe you could tell me if I need to talk to my doctor :)

I'm a 23 yr girl who's about to get diagnosed, probably Borderline. Nice to see that the individual doesn't fall with the diagnose. You seem like a fully functioal social beeing. But I guess you have some kind of meds. Would you mind telling me?
So that if this will be my diagnose, I know what I can expect them to suggest for me? :)
life is a rollercoaster one minute you're queen of the world, the next minute you're breaking dishes, burning attire in the bathtub and planning how you'll kill yourself
@nice9irl1980 I got the criteria from the book "I Hate You - Don't Leave Me". It's a good book on BPD. I take Lamictal, Risperdal, Prozac and BusPar. I had tried medication for years and it was never effective until I actually got on a combo of meds.
God, so many meds, ugh, good luck getting off them. You're calcifying your brain... ugh I don't want to preach.
It might be too late for you.
Good luck though. Incidentally, I learned a lot about BPD diagnosis, and maybe it applies to me... I'm definitely not going to take drugs for it though.
@thedanizblog I have that book (I hate you- don't leave me). I'm going to be evaluated to see if I'm borderline (we're pretty sure I am). The vid is great girl.

@rollercoasterplus It is so helpful! I don't feel so alone because when I talk about what I am going through I get comments from people telling me how they have experienced the exact same thing. Hi Dani! I just stumbled upon your channel and I can relate to a lot of what your share, namely the cell phone breakage (these poor things are an easy target when you're angry). I'm totally BPD and I'm blessed with a few co-disorders. Yay! I have a good personal coach and I hope I'll find a way to have a happier and more functional life, cuz I lost everything because of this condition. Thanks for your contribution here. I have pretty much every symptom of BPD,
but i can't do anything about it,
because my parents are convinced i'm a hypochondriac,
because when i was in my first year at primary,
i used to hate being in class,
i thought everybody hated me,
so i would scream under a desk and get dragged out,
or pretend to be sick so that i could run to the school nurse,
one minute i would be so hyper that i talked so fast that nobody got what i was saying, next i'm suicidal, and nobody believes me .... :(
