  • I ran across this show just now on my TV, and it's so awesome! I wish I knew sign language much better, but hopefully I can learn a bit through this fun show!

The guys who love the St. Louis Cardinals are so hilarious!!!

  • @drunkenmario64

To be honest, I don't know.

  • @drunkenmario64

It's on TBN Saturday Mornings, The TBN owned Smile of a Child Network during the week, and it's on a few independent stations around the U.S.

  • I'm a sign student, and one of my classmates said that watching this show regularly with the volume low--and then without any volume at all--helped her ASL perception skills greatly (more so than the DVDs they give us). I plan on watching this regularly with my siblings. :)

  • Hey guys, this is the first time I have seen any footage. Looks like a cool show, and I noticed you guys are on Daystar so I hope to catch a full episode soon. Also, Pops looks pretty hilarious.

  • WHAT?! Billy is played by twins?! I did NOT know!

  • he was my teacher. :) he's a super nice guy and a great teacher

  • my kids and i love watching your show! <3

    =)

  • ohhhhhhhhhh that cool that was great for deaf kids ......

  • Good work for deaf people. Thankyou for your acting for deaf people:). I am a deaf person

  • Thank you. God LOVES Deaf people so much. We're trying to make sure Deaf kids know that. Smile.

  • Yeah, you are right properly. God LOVES disability people as deaf:). I am so glad that you come to reply me.

  • We say Dr. Wonder's Workshope is a blast! All the actors are a riot (even Pops - lol). Its a fun show for kids!

  • While I don't know this for a fact, I would not be at all surprised. David is a very passionate advocate for ASL and Deaf culture and he travels a good deal in support of those views. It is this passion and his heart for Deaf children that leads him to give so much of his time to the production and promotion of "Dr. Wonder's Workshop."

  • Isnt he the one at the Milwaukee WI Deaf Rally against AGB in June 2008?

    :D

  • Wow...Mr. Reynolds used to be my ASL teacher at Fishers High School. lol I'm not surprised he would do this it looks really great :)

  • Unfortunately I had to remove a couple of comments from the board recently. We really love hearing from you and appreciate your feedback, either pro or con. We learn from both. But we can't have name calling, rude comments, or vulgarity used. If those pop up, we have to remove them right away. Please, be civil to one another. OK?

By the way, more videos are finally going to be posted within a few days!

  • DrWondersWorkshop, Good for you because while there is freedom of speech in this country, that doesn't mean that people can't disagree without having to use such filthy language. I get sick and tired of all the cussing going on in the world as whole. I've seen your program on the GCN Channel and think it's great for the hearing and non-hearing impaired as well. Thanks for the video and God bless.

  • Is this going to be on TV?Like PBS maybe?Because they have shows like Dora where they speak english/spanish and it helps kids alot. This could be like for both non-hearing/hearing and help both sides with understanding.

What a great idea for a kids show!

  • It will not be on PBS, but it is being aired on the following Christian TV networks: Total Living Network, iLifeTV, Cornerstone, Daystar, Smile of a Child, Global Christian Network, NRB Network. Can find on both Dish and DirectTV.

  • PBS has signing time. It teaches kids ASL.

  • You can search "Signing Time" on youtube. They have an account here, "SigningTime", and a group "Signing Time".

Dr. Wonder is scoring almost as high as Signing Time in my show list, but I like the two shows for different reasons.

Signing Time teaches ASL directly. It has 3 times as much music, and they show kids signing every sign they teach. It teaches values and good manners Signing Time comes from a real life family with a deaf daughter. They are funded by the Signing Time Foundation.

  • (continued from my last comment)

Dr. Wonder is a church-y show (teaches things you would learn in church and promotes good values). I love the songs and the people that voice for the signing actors have voices that draw you in. I love the Ameslan Kids, both the lips AND fingertips sides (the singers are practically hypnotic--in a good way!). Dr. Wonder is created by Silent Blessings Deaf Ministries.

  • We all LOVE "Signing Time." It's a great show and provides a wonderful service. That show is designed to teach sign language to (mostly) hearing kids. "Dr. Wonder" is designed to teach life skills and Christian values to Deaf kids who already know ASL, as well as hearing kids who might not. By the way, all our actors are Deaf, and I'm the hearing dad of a Deaf daughter.

I also write all the songs and produce all the audio, so comments like yours are really encouraging! Thanks so much!
