    You can read about Mark Dinning on Youtube. His sisters were also

    singers. Jean Dinning and her husband wrote Teen Angel.  A big hit

    when I was young.

  • the cowboy's lament is derived from an 18th century british folk song called The Unfortunate Rake.there are so many variations of this song but they all carry that wonderful melody.heard it played in a movie by a woman artist i can't remember.but i think that is my favorite version.
