i seen one product of the whole LED strip was colored white instead of the copper color to add more brightness , but I wouldn't know how to power it from a laptop
@ranvig1 nice I gotta check it out this lcdparts.net , I just replaced the ccfl inverter in an ancient dell latitude c610 but it didnt fix the light , yup it has video to the screen but no light. LED upgrade would be awsome

at 9.04 you see connector with wires, that you connect to the laptop, this converter replaces the old inverter.
