  • most REPORTED cases of domestic violence is man against woman...

  • what happens when you reach out and its 4 degrees out and every shelter turns you away?

  • what about batterd men?

  • Beep - Any domestic abuse organization will help men too. The truth is that most of domestic violence is man against woman.

  • LOL That is terrible.

Not to be outdone, ( But I am kidding ,,,,but anyway here goes)

    Q. Why are there so many domestic violence shelters ?

    A. BECAUSE..( smack ) They...just ( smack ) ..won't ( smack ) SHUT ( smack ) UP !!!

  • LMAO!

  • hey, i support domestic violence too!

  • Domestic violence also happens to MEN of all races, age, and economic backgrounds.

  • You are correct, but at a much lower rate than it occurs with women and children. That has been clearly stated in the comments, repeatedly. So have my motivations for focusing on a particular demographic.

  • "You are correct, but at a much lower rate than it occurs with women and children."

Not according to the studies I've seen.

  • I've done a great deal of research on the subject. I'm willing to look at any contradictory information, to the multiple, reputable, sources i have. Please forward links to said studies.

  • Sex Differences in Aggression Between Heterosexual Partners (J. Archer)

    1. Women were more likely than men to use physical aggression, especially among younger women

  • @JustA11en

Lower? How so? The police wont arrest women for DV in most cases so the DATA isnt available for scrutiny. My roommate is jail now for criminal domestic self defense because his drunk girlfriend assaulted him for over 5 hours while trying to attack his 13 year old son before he finnaly defended himself. She wasnt arrested of course, she is a woman and women have a legal right to get drunk and assault people.

  • @jackbelias There are always exceptions to the rule but using nonsensical circular logic, to dismiss copious amounts of statistical analysis, will not strengthen your counter argument. Unsubstantiated opinions, and rhetoric, don't change the facts.

  • @JustA11en

Nonsensical? The injustice system is nonsense. Women are the first people to start throwing punches in most DV cases I am aware of. They arent victims, they just lose fistfights they start. Losing a fistfight you started doesnt make you a victim of anyone but yourself.

  • @jackbelias Just saying "Women are the first people to start throwing punches in most DV cases" doesn't make it true. Again, it's a baseless opinion. Even if a woman "starts it" only a pretty pathetic man would strike them back. There is no self defense argument because, as a rule of thumb, women and children are smaller and physically weaker than than men. Simply being hit by someone weaker rarely results in any serious physical harm. An adult male has the option of walking away.

  • @JustA11en The only time self defense could legitimately claimed by an adult male is if the female (or child) had a weapon and malicious intent. You can type all day but you simply look silly by attempting to justify domestic violence against women and children.

  • @JustA11en

You can just stand there and tolerate someone biting, punching, kicking, and scratching you and your kids for 5 hours? Why should anyone have to do that?

She got a DUI with his car the same night. 3rd offense with 2 violent drug related felonies on her record. The courts will go light on a woman but she will still get at least a year with minimum sentencing guidelines. This brings her up to 3 felonies in the state of FL.

  • @JustA11en

HUH? A drunk female who can drink jack daniels for 3 days without sleep isnt harmless. You have obviously never been in a home with a violent female. She waits until the males are asllep and attacks, she has chased people around the house with knives. The first thing she goes for is a weapon like any other woman. Her latest defense was that my roommate wouldnt have sex with her so she had to assault him and his son for 5 hours.

You must be a meter maid with that attidude

  • @jackbelias Contrary opinions have always been welcomed on my video threads. With that said, the facts are the facts. For the record, personal attacks are rarely an effective means of persuasion. They aren't that offensive because I have nothing to prove to you or any other random, rambling, troll. The fact is you simply have nothing productive to add to the conversation & a continued back and forth is a waste of time. Good luck with the whole baseless rage thing. I hope that works out for you.

  • Too many woman have died in the rural area that I currently live in...

and I realize the social / economic and lack of education has made it sadly prevalent...

as well as what has been taught. Excellent video sir.

  • its easy to not get abused ....just learn when to keep your mouth shut. women who get beat up get beat up for a reason.

  • Much of the problem of domestic violence begins long before the couple meet & become a twosome. Many people are groomed2 B victims & some people R just allowed as children 2 B big bullies. And they spend the first 12 years growing up that way, Youth should B retrained before they get sexually involved, that would help. Of course that's never going to happen, so the beat goes on and on into the next generation. Violence begets violence, whether physical or verbal it is not a good way to deal ,,,

  • Another video made to guilt trip men eh?

    ugh

  • oo that is sad man..hope for the best..i hope it will work out ... but damn i love the song what is it??

  • Thanks for posting this message. Don't forget domestic violence also extended to same-sex couples.

  • very good information and video

    TERRY

  • Wow! you dah Man in youtube land!

  • what's the song playing ?!

  • "She Said"

    by DeadStar Blues

There's a link, to their myspace, in the video description.

Please check them out. Good guys, and great musicians.

  • this is the real deal pplz...not that faker and scammer krice's stuff...see this person lists a ligit org and gives real facts and info. anyone who see's krice's page remember to mark her stuff as spam she is taking advantage of pplz unawareness of what is a ligitimate cause. gratz to the person who did these videos!! your a real winner and a contributer to a good cause!! kudos to you!!!

  • In the early 1970's the abuser would be taken from the home, put into a police car and taken for a ride to "cool off" then retured to the home only to abuse the one who called the police. An order of protection was just a piece of paper.

Do the nightmares ever go away? Will my son ever forgive me for running for my life with him in my arms.

There is no excuse for abuse.

    Abuse does not discriminate.

Thank you Allen for taking the time to post this message.

    Peace to all

  • As a victim myself of abuse in the past, thank you for making this!

  • Thank you, for sharing, Jenn.

If it helps, a single individual, it's well worth any criticism I have received. I hope you, and yours, are well.

    *massive hugs*

  • Marriage is a gateway drug to abuse?

    /kidding

  • Domestic violence sucks ass... With that said, If I wasn't married, I would show all these women how they should be treated... Oh, wait... That didn't come out right!

  • I just called the police about my neighbors fighting this morning. There was a lot of screaming and crashing and pleading, but they were both men. Gay men hurt each other a lot... where is their video?

  • Hey Liz. Good to see you around again. Parts of this video was focused on a particular demographic, because of some recent applicable events, on YouTube, and the experiences of someone close to me. The hotline, FAQ's, DV information, and legal counsel, are for anyone effected by DV. I've also made it clear (to those who have inquired) that any factual video about another demographic, made in a respectful manner, would be accepted as a response. -Allen

  • Okay, cool. I didn't realize that help your video promotes was open to both genders. That's awesome. Thanks for the video.

  • Good job Allen. Nobody can get a point across like you can. Ironically, I just joined a group to support victims of abuse, on Facebook. I don't have any extra money at the moment, but I plan to help with monetary support, as soon as I can.

  • Hey, TruTv!! One let's worry about one form of brutality at a time, eh? If you've been subscribed to A11en for any length of time, you know not a word comes out of his mouth he doesn't feel deeply about, (whether you agree totally with it or not) and he's pretty damn *meticulous* about his sources. And yeh, women who stay with their abusers have a plethora of emotional problems. That doesn't necessarily mean their partners should take advantage of those problems and beat the crap out of them.

  • once when i was in 5th grade i think it was there was a gilr who came to school one day with a shaved head and 2 black eyes. it was becuase her father beat her up. and this was a while ago so the teachers didnt even report it. it still bothers me today.

  • Over 800,000 men a year are reported battered by an intimate partner according to the dept. of justice. that's 40% of all domestic violence. and when you take into consideration the initial combatant policy most cops abide by, the real numbers would be at around half. stop buying into this anti-male hysteria. do you know why 80% of women stay? because they're as comfortable with violence as their abusers. often times these "victims" instigate the violence and exclusively date violent men.

  • You're creating statistics. I found your "source" easily, which doesn't cite the actual study, and even that misrepresentation (aprox. 625 k) is lower than the figure you've posted. Quit hiding behind a sock account, and post facts, if you want to be taken seriously.

  • Tell the woman to get a gun. Simple.... a man needs a strong woman.

  • Very interesting. Makes you think.

  • Peace. :)

  • ooo how fun.. i would want to try something like this at home.. but i know thats probably never going to happen haha but yeah good job. i really ejoyed the video

  • I know a couple of battered women, I wish I could get it into their heads that they can do something about it. This is a very important issue, I hope more women listen... especially men, for there are a million ways to get a point across and violence should not be one of them.

  • Reading some of these comments makes my blood boil. Abuse is abuse and these people are parsing words?

Thank you for this vid. A light must be shined on this travesty as often as possible

    Joy

  • Good job Allen!

  • Great job Allen i hope all is well Too.

    Respect=)

  • You're a good guy, Allen. Your wife is a lucky woman.

Hope all is well, & the new year is good, so far! *hugs*

  • Wonderful video Allen. Great job trying to get the message out that abuse in any form should not be tolerated by anyone.

  • Well done, Allen!

  • Thank you, Curt. Many of the comments are dishearteningly frustrating. The common theme (expressed by some) seems to be ignoring the message, and completely disregarding facts, as if increased awareness (for any particular group) diminishes awareness of how others are effected. It makes one wonder what they hope to accomplish, by minimizing and attempting to justify, abuse of any kind. It brings our "me, me me!" society, sharply, into focus. =(

  • My friend, you are in the minority here.

  • Wow, I guess I am.

  • Yeah and 34 % of all spousal abuse are done my women.I think 34 % is a significant number.Lets stop the feminist bias and treat men and women as true equals. You can start by making one about abuse agaisnt men

  • This video is focused on domestic violence, in general, (as opposed to spousal abuse) and was focused on a particular demographic for specific reasons. With that said, Please cite the source of your statistic. Most studies put that figure at less than 20%.

Also, you are more than welcome, to make a video of your own, on the subject. If it's done in a respectful manner, i'll accept it as a response.

  • Make no mistake about it,this was about domestic abuse against and not abuse in general.I got no sense of it being general at all so lets start being interlectually honest here. This was about female abuse period.I heard NOTHING about child abuse or abuse agaisnt men.Last time I checked there are 1.3 million reports of female abuse by someone intimate.Men are at 835,000 annually so that idea that it is based on statistics is not accurate

  • The word "general" is in reference to a the kind of abuse. I have stated, on multiple occasions (if you would take the time to read, before reacting) that this was focused on a particular demographic, with good reason. (some personal, and others pertaining to recent applicable events, on YT) You specifically mentioned "spousal abuse", which only pertains to married couples. Again, you throw out figures, without citing specific studies. "The last time you checked" doesn't hold water.

  • Any domestic abuse, man against woman, woman against man, parent against child, is wrong and should be stamped out.

Abused men are an important and largely unrecognized issue, but that should not degrade the message about abused women.

  • Thank you for making this Allen.

  • It is inspiring to see you using your forum to provide information that people need. I don't really get the "debate" going on in the comments here pitting men against women or vice versa. The only issue is one of ignorance against compassion. I would wish good will for all by all. Good work Allen.

  • Good job

  • I commend your posting of this. Symbolic leavings of a band of gold...

  • *massive hugs*

  • Does this have anything to do with all the Blunty drama that's been happening? He's an arrogant ass to begin with if you ask me.

    Great vid Allen!

  • it says for angela in the description, so i think so...

  • My bad, didn't see it.

  • no problem, it is really far down, normally i don't read that far, but this vid is kinda important and i wanted to know if it had anything to do with it too

  • I agree with popsucktits. Really good video, Allen.

  • Thanks Kiwi.

    I sincerely appreciate the feedback.

  • I guess at this point I just hope karma gets Nate and gets him real good. Karma be the biggest bitch you can be.

  • *nods*

  • Most appropriate response to the current dramarama i have seen.

  • Thank you.

For reasons, other than recent applicable events, I felt inclined to make something that might help someone.

  • ...truth...cheers!

  • *tips hat*

  • I'm always disturbed that men are pointed out as evil and women as frail, innocent beings. It's sickening to be honest. What kind of person are you to spit on half of the human population?

These types of videos only further the feminazi agenda and keeps men from reporting physical and mental domestic abuse. You people aren't happy until we're all in prison or otherwise enslaved.

  • The rate of occurrence is disproportionately higher for women, and children. Those are facts, and not my opinion. I question why anyone would be fearful of being "enslaved" by women.

  • Women have more reported cases per year but studies estimate that it's an even distribution of actual incidents. Again, women have worked hard to oppress men to the point that you get ridiculed and refused help if you're a man that is physically or mentally abused by your partner.

It has never happened to me personally, but I know of cases where it happened. Another way women use to get to men is reporting them for rape. Even if the case is thrown out, your career and reputation is ruined.

  • I'm not attempting to argue semantics, but I would like to know where those studies can be found. I've seen nothing that indicates anything close to an even distribution of actual events, to date. Please forward any applicable links. I'd be glad to take a look at them.

  • Hey! I said the same thing! I watch Cops all the time. Women are just as nuts as men

  • intersting, allen. if you care so much for innocent female victims, why don't you do a video about lesbian domestic violence, since they statistically have the highest rates? Also, 30% of lesbian women will be sexually assaulted or raped by another woman. (Dr. Claire Renzetti)

"I question why anyone would be fearful of being "enslaved" by women."

  • If you took the time to read all the other comments, instead of cherry picking what you'd like to see, you would know why this particular demographic was represented in the video.

  • domestic abuse happens to guy's as well.

  • Agreed, but there are a significantly higher number of women, and children, effected.

  • good video

  • Thanks for taking the time to watch, Josè

  • Great video, Allen.

  • Thank you.

  • Domestic violence cases are 50-50. As many women are abusers, they just dont do the damage we do. And this is stupid

  • Your statement, about the ratio, is patently false, and cannot be substantiated by any reputable source.

  • In the interest for disclosure JustA11en should adhere to video protocol by engaging the introductory portion with the following: "In the interest for disclosure," Haha what's up dude? Just missin the old school days when people used to surround the internets. Where did those days go?

  • A return to old school "disclosure", might be just around the corner. Thanks for stopping by, Mike.

  • until it does, Front Leaning Rest Pos-i-tion...Move!!! haha Re-cover!

  • I don't think i'm up for a PT test, today. >:)

  • Domestic violence is a slippery monster. It can rush at your or sneak up behind you. So many people are stuck in its hold, either by a loss of self worth or fear of being alone or just plain fear. If you are being abused or someone you know is being abused call the hotlines available and get advice from people who care and are trained to understand these situations perhaps better than the people stuck in them.

  • please do video about men who are beaten.i have seen it happen to freind of mine

  • Hey Les

I agree that men, women, and children, are effected. The focus, of this vid was specific to a particular demographic, for very personal reasons, in addition to applicable recent events.

  • blunty ?

  • Women have two weapons in domestic violence. The physical attack, and the grace to perform it under stigma against hitting women. Many men are attacked and their attackers exploit the social stigma that you "don't hit women".

And, uh oh, wah, there is "mental abuse"? In that case women would be born with a fucking black belt. They are commonly masters of obnoxious manipulation, and convenient powers of reason to frustrate logical males into self-implosion.

  • In the case of either man or woman, a relationship can turn abusive, and in either situation, the abused can be made to feel stuck, or even worthless to the point of feeling their abuser is all they have. Of course there is more available recourse for women, because women are more likely to get abused. The world has quite a history of physical abuse toward women. Mental abuse, well that's an entirely different thing. But be real, most of the time when people talk about abused women they ...cont

  • cont... are not talking about insults and belittlement. That happens on both sides for sure, both women and men can verbally abuse, and that 'convenient power of reason' you mentioned (perhaps 'power of convenient reason' or maybe 'pretend logic') is most certainly a miserable beast. Further I acknowledge that some women think they can hit a man, and they certainly are wrong in this. But I disagree with your scornful tone. This video acknowledges the duality of the problem, ...cont

  • cont... but focuses on women as they are most often physically abused and need to find a place to go before they're murdered. Like, actually murdered as in VIOLENT DEATH. So you can call names and talk down if you wish, because men do that too, but I say make your own video about domestic abuse and say whatever you wish. You've got 10 minutes. Go.

  • People that are that brazen, and patently wrong, very rarely put forth their views, in a non-anonymous forum. Thanks for your contribution to the conversation.

  • Domestic violence happens to PEOPLE, you one-eyed firebrand. And the treatment of men that are subjected to it vastly differs to the miles of support that is implimented and offered to women. This is such bullshit. The means are ALL THERE for abused women if they choose to employ them, in any civilized state you can wave a western stick at. The amount of health and protection services in place for women is massive and constantly under push for expansion.

  • *implement*

  • I'm fully aware this effects men, women, and children. The video was made specifically for a particular demographic, because of those that I care deeply for, who have been effected, and recent applicable events. Your statements are deplorable and typical of one of Nate's lemmings. I chose not to attack him, because the issue is far more important than some disturbed child, in the shell of a mans body. I'm surprised that his fanboys are already here. Step away from the car, skippy.

  • Disturbing statistics...

Im shocked that this kind of thing still happens ffs >:(

Well done for bringing this up A11en...people need to be aware this is still going on...

Hope your websites help those who need to see them =)

  • Very disturbing.

As always, I appreciate your candid feedback.

  • Abuse doesn't only effect women, it is not only physical, it is mental, social, financial, emotional. The physical abuse is just more obvious.

  • Absolutely correct Sammi.

I had specific reasoning for honing in on this particular demographic. Thanks for the input. I'm headed out the door, but will take a look at your vid, this afternoon, when I get in.

  • Great message..

  • Thanks Pauly. Will check out the response, when I get in from work.

  • Somewhere parents and teachers have failed to teach us how to treat each other with kindness and respect, that's the only way we'll ever learn! It's probably too late for some but perhaps there's a way to prevent it in the future? Thanks A11en! Cheers!

  • Agreed. Thanks for contributing to the conversation.

  • battered women have voices and families. animals do not.

the only statement i didn't like in this whole video, was the one about having more animal shelters than battered women shelters..

    buttttt.. whatev.

maybe we need to have as many battered women shelters as animal shelters.. but no less animal shelters. they deserve love&care too. :)

loved this video, you're an amazing man allen.

  • My intent was to demonstrate the disproportionate number. There should be more, of both. Thanks for the feedback. *massive hugs*

  • :) *hugsback*

  • As many voices as can be heard on this issue...

    Thank You Allen.

  • The statistics are sickening.

    The fallout is tragic.

  • Actually the greatest number of victims of men's violence, even rape, is, in fact other men.

  • Hey quuaa1

Do you have a link, to that statistic?

    I'm interested in related findings.

    thanks

    Allen

  • Awesome video man.....awesome.

  • Thanks MBD.

It was for more than one person.

  • Word.

  • *nods*

  • i am glad we are all talking about this

  • The number one cause of physical injury - that's a statistic that really blows my mind.

  • That was a US statistic, but still unreal.

  • thanks for sharing this allen

  • I'm glad I didn't make it, when i saw those videos. I hope it helps someone.
