    From Nov 09 to March 2010, out of 19 council houses, allocated by Tralee council 11 went to immigrants. Many Irish people are on the housing waiting list, some waiting for 7yrs, and the houses are going to foreigners.

    This at a time when Irish children in care are being moved around in different care homes and B&B's. Some of these kids have been abused and committed suicide - they would greatly benefit from a secure council house

  • I live in Ballincollig all along the motorway the fields, greyhound racetrack and supposed training ground for Cork City F.C. were under water. Couldn't believe my eyes fuck you Mother Nature LOL

  • Its a good thing they let the dam go, otherwise the banks would have burst and it would have been much worse. I live in Ballincollig about 10 mins from the city and theres no sign of flooding except for the Regional Park.

    yeah there wasnt that much flooding at all here. in fact i hear ppl talking bout how bad the floods were, i never thought water flooded that much of cork or even that deep! i wish i was there to have seen it! could have been fun surfing in the middle of cork!

    And that's western ROAD, not western street.
