@mikaparrot It will stop... within the first year. Just be patient! Yasuri turn out to be quick smart, and not noisy (well, in comparison to other parrots you know). It will get better, I promise!
When she is scared it is a completely different noise much higher pitched and a lot louder -- also including trying to get away from what is bothering her and actually putting some pressure into her bite(not just mouthing a finger like in the video), which is very rarely. (I've only seen this during her first nail clipping and her first physical at the avian vet). She is so playful, quiet(alteast for a parrot) and very gentle. She hasn't bit or tried to bite me in the 9 months we've had her.

I have got a new cape(3 weeks) and she cant stop from doimg thaT NOISE/

she is 50 days or so with me, and stile dont like to be on me so much.
when im toching her she is tring to "run away" or just tern around.
did you think its normal? how was yasuri/

How do you tell the sexes of Cape parrots? Are the colors different?

@chinfinger when they are babies, they look the same... but as adults, the females have the orange patch on their head,, and the males don't.

pretty bird. She looks like she is having fun. My cape bits every once in a while. Usually when he isnt getting his way
