  • @doubledgamze yes but i don't think u got the point, just close ur eyes nd listen, it's not what u think about "handmade music, it's a deeper frequency nd don't u think it's easy to follow the pace ^_^

  • As his father Ali was the King of the desert blues guitar, so Vieux is the Prince.

  • adoooooooorabe le visage éervellé du gamin à la fin!!! tout simplement pure moment beauté musicale

  • so beautiful! makes me a feeling like homesick!Coming from the north, but I feel at home in Westafrika!

  • I play like him as well !

  • Totally Amazing! This should be of utmost interest to an ethnomusicologist or just someone who can appreciate this lad shredding up the blues!!! This people is REAL music. From the HEART and SOUL. Look at his face. He feels everything. He is possessed by this music. It controls him. He does not control what he is playing anymore. It takes over.

  • @Machster10 Please. This is boring; all droning and monotonous. Nothing about remotely resembles shredding. He is a man playing his guitar and enjoying it. He controls the guitar. And it's not the blues. It sounds vaguely Irish, frankly...

  • @beeroosterm irish ? kakakakakaka

  • @beeroosterm Yes, Irish. You think because he's a black guy his influences cannot run to the Irish like the rest of us?

  • @beeroosterm Its completely the blues...you obviously wouldnt know the blues if it came and slapped you in the face with a wet fish!

  • @Rebelconformist82 Well, fuck you very much...You obviously are unaware of the fact that this guy does not live in a vacuum - and that his playing is completely derivative. My comment stands.

  • @Rebelconformist82 As well, his playing is very sloppy. But I guess that goes along with the style(?), eh?

  • So beautiful !! I lived in Mali as a child/teen from 1999-2003 because of my dads work but have never been back since ;( his music brings back so many memories it brought tears to my eyes =)

I still remember a live concert of the great Ali Farka Touré in Bamako, Mali and although I was too young to fully understand and appreciate his music it will always remain a one in a lifetime childhood memory to me!

So great to see that his son has inherited his talent!!

  • only one musical instrument makes a huge diferent between artists,,,just perfect

  • i love how happy this man is. im this happy when i play my guitar to lol just waiting for the day i get better at it like the rest of you!

  • Thats real good handmade musik !!!! I love people who are content with their life, like this man.

  • @doubledgamze

Wait. how do you know this man is 'content'?

He might be pissed off at the Dutch or Christianity, if he knows his real history and not the one(s) the missionaries teach.

  • @doubledgamze I don't know how content Vieux is, but his music helps ME be more content with MY life.

  • if you love this, be sure to check out his fathers (ali farka toure) album ´´in the heart of the moon´´

Ali plays the guitar together with his friend toumani diabete playing the kora.

    sooooooooooo good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Couldn't agree more. I took your suggest on board, listened to it and loved it. Thank you!

  • i think we don't need a DNA test to find the ancestors of JIMMY HENDRIX

  • Maybe for Jimi Hendrix...

  • Yep...NO DOUBT!

  • @demblure Jesus Christ. What? Because he's a black guy he is somehow Jimi-like? Please...this guy doesn't hold a candle to Jimi.

  • C'est magnifique !!!

    salut, ciaooo

  • wow, thats some good shit.

  • The little boy, like the rest of us, is just awestruck!!!

A true son of his father. Excellent guitarist!

  • I am touched to the core. I am crying!!...

  • Man, I seriously love that African style of guitar, especially with that sort of clean chorusy sound, it's amazing. Does anybody know what tuning he uses here?

  • un grand musicien !

    une grande famille de musiciens

  • this amazing i like it but i think soukous and this kinda styles are really hard to play

  • This is something more than just a man and his guitar. I'm not religious but there's something spiritual to it.

My dad got me into Ali Farka Toure, then I heard about Vieux online. Amazing to see the name and legacy live on.

  • Just Beautiful, Pure Joy

  • its life itself

from the son to the father

im so glad the mantle has been picked up and played with such love and passion.

Ali was my hero and still is roots and culture and all that is good in music.

Though i dont think his son has ali's feel quite yet

there is a master growing here and im filled with love to see it

    R>I>P Ali Farka toure xxxxxx

  • See my comment to part 1 of these solos.

  • The son playing a piece of music from his father Ali Farka Toure, who died recently.

Unbieleavable good and a very likeable young man!!!

    What a feeling.

I watches it ten times the last day.

  • I was wondering if this was the great Ali's son...I pretty much figured it was or he was using Farka Toure as a nom de plume in honour of the greatness. He's just as amazing a player as his father was.

  • he is.

  • Yes, he is.

  • this is the thirteenth time i listen to this legend in this website, and i am not bored!

  • i love this music, this guy is amazing
