@ GraveKenshin1991 there is an island south of a town that you find a girl that helps you make your town fly (I have not played this game in forever) and you can fight giant slimes, giant fly's and I believe you can fight gold slimes too. They give you tons of experience and you can level up your party very easily. Just boost your stats there until you are able to beat Tiga. I don't remember what level I was at when I beat Tiga, but thats how I did it. You also need a lot of magic healing items

No you're wrong CyC10n345 because I have beaten Tiga many times. It just takes stat boosting and you have to use your GDragon. You have to have lots of AP items and healing items. It's a long process to beat him, but it is very possible and a lot easier if you are at a higher level. Honestly with you being at level 54..I have NO idea how this was hard for you to beat him lol I beat him with a lower level than that.
This fight pissed me off so much. Why did they let you fight him if you couldn't beat him? Now if some of the previous people are correct, and he doesn't have unlimited health, just a lot, I think I need to replay this game again and make things right.
It's pretty common to have hopeless boss fights. Barubary was one as well, in the prologue, and even completely different games like Megaman X have it (Vile right at the beginning).
The Barubary fight was obvious that you were going to lose. Tiga fights as though you can win it, he does negligible damage and you can hurt him quite a bit. I know there are lots of fights that you have to lose, but most of them seem hopeless from the beginning, it's the ones that aren't that annoy me.

@iceflame12 you can win, after you defeated them, you get exp and zenny's and then they will do their secret move and beat you up with that. but thats after you get the exp and zenny's so you can beat them
I remember spending weeks probably even months building up Ryu to beat Tiga (i'm a RPG addict). Of course this was before the internet became really popular and you could easily jump online and find if he was beatable. Well I guess it was a waste of time after all.
It's not a deciding factor in the ending you get. Don't develop your relationship with Nina and you can get a Katt based ending. It's the much more interesting ending in my opinion.

There's this icon that changes color through out the game for each of your characters, and it very mildly effects dialog at the end of the game. It's nothing to get your panties in a bunch about but Katt's hints of romance come across a little more strongly.

Hey man, just look at it as a positive. If you were level 73 after fighting Tiga, you probably owned just about everyone on the way to Deathevn, right?
I am a fiend for "level grinding", to borrow a term from HCBailly, so I usually get to level 99 in every rpg I play.
Once you get past level 65 or so, you can usually beat any boss in this game with the right tactics.
Maybe ironic, but more so dorky. Remember the fight with garr in Bof3? Same thing. and you basically get nil for stat gains after lv65. I don't know why that either though.
I spent a couple of hours fighting him with SNES9x turbo mode. Generic combo (atk 5 times, does 400 damage per hit :D + guts to heal) for about an hour, then realized I didn't use Medusa shield power <.< ... still impossible.

That guy is lying. You can't beat him. I've hacked the game and checked his HP myself. Tiga has 17,000 hp. To make matters worse, his HP resets on every turn. However, through hacking, you can edit Tiga's Hp to one and kill him. Even so, you don't get much exp and the game continues on as if you lost. Waste of time.
Amen, brother. this guy IS full of shit. You might think I'm a dumbass for this, but I got a whole bunch of levels built up, 200+ Roasts, EmpireSD, MedusaSH, and other awesome armor, Medicate, and had the ox guy that increases your attack power in township, and actually tried to beat Tiga based on his info. I beat on him for 2 hours and finally got pissed off and gave up.
Look, I got that off a guide. I didn't try it myself. So if theres someone full of shit, it's that guy who made the guide. I don't go that deep into the game to find out all that crap.

His health is 62235, and resets to that number on every turn. If you use an instant kill cheat, the game acts as if you lost.

It is impossible to beat Tiga, its part f the story line that you lose, even using an unlimited HP cheat {{which i wouldn't reccomend >.>}}

Actually, he has like 62k Hp. Capcom thinks you can't beat him, but with lots of extracts and maxed equipment, it IS possible.
