  • this is one of those good feeling songs

  • Brings me back memories of my 7th grade at Miami Edison junior High...thanks a lot!!!!!!!

  • Lovely tune, best in DOO WOP.

    Thanks for posting!!

  • Saw Joey last week sing "What Kind Of Love Is This" at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Italian Feast in Garfield w/ David Brigatti & Bobby Valli plus Tommy Mara. And would ya believe it - Passaic, NJ is actually NAMING a city street after this R&R "Peppermint Twist" living legend! All I can say is - it's about time! ... Well, I feel like a man in outer space...

  • I remember this great song. It showed me Joey Dee & The Starlighters were much more than the Pepermint Twist. Is That David Brigatti singing lead? Doesn't sound like him.

  • @bobrich1QEDJ5 Good question! I know Joey sang "I Lost My Baby" & "Keep Your Mind On What Your Doing" I would have to go with Joey singing this, the voice sounds the same. I believe it was just around this time David left the group and his brother Eddie Brigatti joined them. GUNNISONDUDE "Terri" is a member from the Hi-Fives, perhaps he may know?

  • I like the lyrics mostly....i don't think much of the arrangement all these years later. Loved it as a kid....way back when.

  • This song yells HIT HIT HIT from the first bar.

Oh to have music like this today.

  • Heard it on Clay Cole back when.

  • Wow! Never heard this oldie before! I noticed on the label you have pictured that Johnny Nash of I Can See Clearly Now fame wrote this! Nice song!

  • thank you for your comment.

  • Love this song, haven't heard it in a while.

    Many thanks,

    Have a good life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Well thank you my friend!

  • thank you for your comment.

  • This brought back memories and tears to my eyes. Thanks so much for uploading this!

  • You are so very welcome, enjoy!

  • still rings true today

  • This obviously wasn't nearly as popular as "Peppermint Twist" and "Shout," but in my opinion, it was the group's best recording.

  • YES!!!! "group's best recording" Although, I do love Face Of An Angel, however, no arguement from me! Thank you!

  • A little-heard oldie. Thanks for posting.

  • A little-heard oldie You hit the nail right on the head with that. When this was 1st released the played it everyday, then all of a sudden it stopped. I've never heard it since. I Lost My Baby was the same way, can't figure. By the way, your very welcome!

  • The song did pretty well in the NYC area. I don't know if it made it nationally.

  • It did very well in RI also, just never heard it afterwards?

  • johnny nash

  • Yes, he wrote, he's not singing it though.

  • yes great song thanks
