Scene I have traveled a lot to Europe, I check on TV shows everywhere. I think it's good storytelling and bravery from the writers to have no one be safe in stories like these. It's boring when nothing ever happens to popular characters just because they're popular. The reason the story had impact is because Edwin died.

whoa! I didn't know they'd go this route: first Fer & David, then Deniz & Roman(my couple... I still miss them :() now Edwin and Lucas,what's with these writers killing all the gay characters? I guess I get it in a way,drama but it's still sad. Let's see how many characters have d over the last year? 1) Fer (FOQ), 2)Roman (AWZ), 3) Reid (ATWT), 4) Jackson (ED) and on GTST two Ron and now Edwin... really breaks my heart, but I'll continue watching Lucas' story to see where he goes from here.

Thanks for the Interviews Mark! I maybe one of the few fans who is not surprised w Ed's death. Let me preface this with I -3 Ludwin!! This coupling got me into the show. However much I loved them - I always thought Ed's character was kinda boring next to Sjoerds. Aside from retaking his exams - where was this character going? Lucas is a much deeper, interesting cat. I'm curious to see how he grows after the death of his first beloved!?

Raynor is sweet and gracious considering how shafted he got. I give him credit because I've seen way too many soap stars get written off their shows and and make no effort to hide their contempt at all! The decision to kill off Edwin is still a mystery to me. I've been watching soaps for a long time, so I understand sometimes they do very stupid things that make no sense. I am glad that I can continue to watch Ferry/Lucas, but I will forever be thinking about what could have been.

Will miss Raynor's characterization of Edwin. Edwin mentioned to Lucas that he would like a Mozart violin concerto played at his funeral. But that would involve an orchestra, so perhaps a violin sonata ( violin and piano ) such as the one in B Flat major 1st Mvt. would be appropriate. Also Debussy's Beau Soir transscribed for cello and piano would be beautiful. But probably too late for these because decisions have been made weeks ahead. Thanks Mark.

Edwin has just come out and is very in love with Lucas, but he was bound to want to go out and experiment (he had sex with one woman, Wiet and Lucas) so heartache would be coming soon. This way Edwin still leaves a much loved character. I think there's a new sotyrline for Lucas to overcome this and the guy that will help him achieve that ... well that should be juicy

This really sucks, I felt like he had really hit his stride as an actor and the last few weeks of episodes have been especially strong. He was doing such a great job and Edwin was a really great character... I just can't believe it!

The good thing is that the soap allowed him to show a broad range of emotions, shy, vulnerable, aggressive, scared, charming, strong as well as loving. It's a great range for an actor. I'm sure he'll be seen in other things. If not, he should check out the English speaking world. I'm sure they'd have roles for him.

Haven't been this sad about the loss of a soap character in a long time (maybe never?) A testament to Raynor's acting, for sure, and to the show's ability to create -- and make us fall in love with -- believable characters. You will be missed!

Raynor is a great, beautiful person. I like the way he speaks calm and gentle, like he's talking to an old friend. IMO between the lines you can read that he's a little sad about the writer's decision... He was enjoying being there, he felt he was part of the show and he was doing a great job. The chemistry between Lucas and Edwin is something you rarely achieve in tv shows... They should have treasured it! We'll see...
