@onyxoryangrey Gelding is ruuna. Finnish is very complicated with all that twisting and turning, a cat=kissa, cats=kissat/kissoja but it also inflects many different ways, depending on when you use that word.
i have a white german shepherd and i was wondering if you wouldn't mind telling me what basic dog commands are in finnish. like sit, stay, go outside, and stuff like that..i've taught him in french, norwegian, german, and japanese. it's alot of fun and he actually knows them all now.
Hey!! "Ampiainen" is not a bee, it's a wasp. Bee is "mehiläinen"! I'm getting angry here... (lol of course it doesn't matter but as a favor to the audience and to prove how smart I am, I'm correcting it anyway..)
@Emr987 Actually "mehiläinen" and "ampiainen" are the same thing. "Kimalainen" is the furry one. A bee can be any of those little creatures that sting.
@inFinnish no, a bee is a bee :) there's a big difference between a bee and a wasp (yellowjacket). i just find it difficult to believe that in finnish ampiainen and mehiläinen mean the same thing. i'm more inclined to believe what Emr987 said.
@brunnaplacido Yeah, elefantti (or sometimes even just fantti) and norsu mean both the same = an elephant, but norsu is more common in spoken Finnish.
You've got horses, haven't you? :D

@NightestWish I've had many animals but never owned a horse, it's a shame, someday i will! :) Why? :D
