That looks like Rochelle, Illinois at the BNSF interlocking. I go over that diamond everyday inside one of those UP Locomotive.

No, DC Traction motoros take more power from the engine to make the power to move the train, and AC takes less.

No the SD70M-2 is actually a DC traction motor version of the SD70ACe since that loco has AC traction motors
