This is pretty much the way it happened. You can see the bulletholes in the buildings today ! Sid Hatfield was killed on the steps of the McDowell County Courthouse in Welch, West Virginia but there is no memorial or plaque to even mention it at the spot. I guess the old guard is still in charge. Itravelled all through those beatuiful towns and hills - worth a trip.

Nothing about your comment makes sense. The protagonist in this movie (main character, because I can't trust that you would know a word that large) is a socialist who was unionizing the miners. Are you one of those guys that claims Obama is a socialist? It's funny, because he's a plutocrat.
