@Taxi502 One time in high school basketball there was one team that was down 18 points with 1:30 to go and yet they forced overtime. They came back from an 11 point halftime deficit to win. In that game for that team it was sort of like two comebacks in one.
I was at the game and it was quite possibly the most exciting comeback I've ever seen (not only just the biggest). The amazing part is that it was done mostly with defense and not just the other team missing free throws.
Yeah, it was the CIF championship game for their division. They went on after that in the State tournament and lost to some team in San Diego (one of their players, Troy Leaf, I think, is signing with San Diego State, apparently... he is absolutely amazing). But yeah, this was the best our school's basketball team has done in the history of the school.
@mattsjpl i think anyone would be hard pressed to find another game at any level in the history of organized basketball finishing a game on a 24-2 run erasing a 17 point deficit with under 4 minutes to play.
@Taxi502 The only other performance that I've ever seen or heard of that could compare was in the NCAA Tournament. There was one college game back in 2005 between Illinois and Arizona where Illinois was down 75-60 with 4:02 left and they went on a 20-5 run to force overtime. They eventually won 90-89 but at one point in OT they were up 90-84.
@lakerskid2013 i always liked the kentucky comeback from about 10 years ago, when they erased a 30 point deficit in the second half. i dont remember the year or who they played but if your a bball fan im sure u remember
@Taxi502 I've watched it on ESPN Classic and I saw a video on YouTube about that comeback. I'll say that it was really impressive. I think it happened before I was even born. LSU thought they had that win but Kentucky just stormed back after being down 37-68 with just under 16 minutes left to play.

Yeah, he is a great coach. I had him as a coach for a couple years when I played for that school in high school. The players though are very good. I've played with and against them all, they know how to get it done.
The school is actually in Bermuda Dunes, in the Coachella Valley (by Palm Springs). There's only like 300 people at the school, so its crazy we did this good! I mean, we almost beat Woodcrest and we beat Hisperia!
yeaa desert Christian was pretty dammm good LAST YEAR :) haha they where good this year too lol but the list those two big kids!! :D but this was a pretty tight game ...way to bring the CIF Championship win back to our league !!
Cool. I didn't know that. Thanks for the tip. I don't think I'll redo this video because its a pain to dig up all the footage again, but I do have the real time video of the entire game. Maybe I'll upload that some time (or just clip the part I had here without the fast-forwarding). I thought it would be more exciting to show this quickly, but I guess its horribly ugly to most people...
the other team SUCKED

crazy ass shit the fast forwarding was the only bad part but the game thats fuckin nuts
Wutangklanodb 3 years ago
The reason I fast forwarder was:
1. You can only upload 10 minutes and the clip was like 12 minutes
2. It was more exciting if you skip all the dead time of just dribbling.
But yeah, it was crazy. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment. Go DCHS!

If you put yourself as "director", you can upload more than 10 mins.

I have to agree with the fast forwarding thing - it would be awesome if this could be posted in its entirety.
