  • i want to know the subtitles to the song

  • Sly's singing voice is higher than Jon Andersons' of Yes!

  • From what I'm seeing, it looks like Sylvester's younger brother Frank was actually the one singing on this....

  • If this him singing, he sings a LOT better than I had pictured!!!!! :)

  • So many ppl criticises Sly cause he cant act or sucks at it. But i personally have enjoyed most of hes movies cause they r fun, specially the Rocky series....

  • is sly singing this he"s great wow

  • What the hell posseses some actors to try to sing (Philip Michael Thomas, Don Johnson, Sylvester Stallone, Eddie Murphy, and some others)?????

I guess that when they were growing up their mothers said "Son, you can sing really well". And the doofus actually believed it.

  • @vassephardi i think its more of a manager thing, like they say, "okay heres the deal, we're gonna try and get youre rating up just a little more. you're gonna sing, its what most actors do and now youre gonna do it." i think its more of a job kinda thing then them believing their mothers :)

  • @whitepiggy98 I think Sylvester also sang in his movie named Paradise Alley.

  • I love Sly. I'm 17, and all of my favourite movies are his from Rocky onwards :)

  • Greatest actor ever is there anything he cant do

  • Perfect song to sing in the shower.

  • i'm so fuckin in love with him it's unbelievable ! :D This song is blimminn awesome !! <3 Sly

  • This song made for Sly...brilliant!!

  • Unbelievable!

  • Not as bad as I thought it would be

  • The ending was priceless. The echo laughing part was the best ending of this movie.

  • I thought this was Frank Stallone.. his brother who was a singer?

  • Not a bad voice, but a much better actor. Singing is not his strong point!

  • wow i never thought id hear him sing but now that i did im good.

  • This is a under rated, good film.

  • I have this LP and I play for anyone who will listen. Sly has a fabulous voice. Amazing control and excellent pitch. Instead of backphrasing, he leads. Unusual for the time. The only actor I've heard that sings better is Robert Downey Junior. The movie was fabulous as well. Tom Waits was in it for crying out loud. How much better can you get that that?

  • I sing this in the shower whenever it comes to my mind...

  • wow... honestly i was expecting him to stink at music, but i really like this song... HOW IS IT POSSIBLE HE IS GOOD AT EVERYTHING????

  • great guy thank god he never wanted to make money in music lol

  • Too bad steroids and human growth hormones don't improve vocal cords. Yeah.

  • @i8movies I thought they do. Just look at GaGa

  • @i8movies sylvester never took steroids

  • @i8movies are you serious? have you ever seen bodybuilders who take steroids and growth hormones? They're HUGE, Stallone has crafted an image as a strong, tough guy, but let's face it... he was pretty skinny. The little musculature that he did have was all him, you don't need steroids to look the way he did.

  • @ghostsam24 and ill tell ya he was HOTTTTTT :)

  • @i8movies You avin a bubble? Sly never touched drugs...Fact!

  • 1978

  • woah,i wasnt ready for that.

  • aaw I like his singing voice

  • My favourite too. He is actually become my favourite celebrity over the years. He is an inspiration :-)

  • Maybe its me, or maybe its the memories of my youth, but i think this is fantastic!

  • they cut out tom wait's scenes. in fact he was quoted in 1981 saying how excited he was that he was in the film. he sat his wife down and when it came on he said, "look honey here i am! shit where'd i go?!"

because they had him sit at the piano for 3 weeks working on this stupid movie THEN THEY CUT HIM WHAT THE FUCK?!

And Stallone singing is sick (not in the good way, as in sickening)

  • If only you could soak up such a revelation ;)

Oh .... I will have to make allowances your American.

  • Comment removed

  • it dont matter about the voice, its the soul put into it .... its all heart, good film for the good old boys.

    classic.

  • YES IT DOES WANKER

  • You can spell then .... your mum must be so proud.

Now get back to school before you miss the register.

  • yes and your mum must be proud that you are a huge fan of semi-drunken karaoke as displayed here by good old sly

  • But you don't really cut it in the counter do you.

Like I said on your page ..... I bet you get all the girls.

Good luck with south park mr don juan.

  • Tampax where you gone ?

  • i dont know what is wrong with you but i do know that you are wrong

  • Wrong is calling some a wanker you dry witted lunch.

  • Thank you SO MUCH for posting this clip!! Paul and I were like brothers growing up.Both only children and 1st cousins. I have a letter from Paul stating that after Lords of Flatbush Sly asked him, 'Hey meatball-you wanna be in my next movie?' He said sure and the rest was history.

  • Greatest Stallone film ever!

Unfortunately Paul Mace died shortly afterwards, otherwise he likely would have found his way into future Stallone films like Frank MacCrae and Joe Spinnel did. Sly always took good care of his friends. Frankie the Thumper is classic beyond belief.

  • His voice makes me think of Englebert Humperdink.

  • i think he sings ok,part of my growing up was this film, ilove it

  • excellent movie but sly dont sing so good

  • I think he can sing.

  • I have the novel that Sly wrote before he sold the story to be filmed. Great story. Says a lot about Sylvester. he likes violence thats for sure.

  • Stallone has always be slated by the critics..But what a lot of people do not realise is that he has one of the highest IQ's in the world..He is a very clever and talented man...I LOVE SYLVESTER STALLONE TO BITS...xxxx

  • I didnt know that Sylvester stallone couldnt sing :-)

  • Its a decent film, but sly does sing very ill.

  • Racing his co-star from "Lords of Flatbush"...Paul Mace

  • I actually own the LP! He should have recorded more. He knew how to 'work it'.

  • His directorial debut, he`s always been a great filmmaker, most of the audience is not aware of that.

  • Great movie, Great song!

  • great film classic!!

  • i have the book written by stallone i had no idea it was a film lol

  • the book was good wasn't it

  • Is the cat at the beginning getting raped or something?

  • 2.06, great luv him

  • please put the rest on ..thanks

  • I have this movie, always love watching it.

  • Sylvester Stallone Is My Favorite Actor Of All Time!!!!!...

  • @PierreValerWilson same here got most of his movies on tape and dvd

  • anyone have the lyrics?

  • Danilofrancavilla, If you love sly, your gonna like this movie. Like much of his work it illustrates one man in a struggle against the odds of life and still overcomes them. I personally enjoyed it alot. Sort of like Rocky with a little twist. The song is good too.

  • Please guys upload this movie It's the only Sly's movie I haven't seen yet.

  • Just buy it.

  • An underrated movie. It really surprised me! Surely not perfect, but well acted and very well done. Great forties atmosphere, brilliant use of slow motion, a realistic NYC and a script with some very good lines and interesting characters. Stallone should be proud of his debut as director. And be ashamed of bad stuff like Staying Alive and Rocky IV. I think that only Rocky Balboa and Rambo (both really great) are better than Paradise Alley.

  • Sly Stallone thinks this was one of his crap films, eh, this film is brillant in my view and in my top ten.

  • i think it was a great film very funny and well made

  • I have it on DVD. At the time it came out the critics said "Rocky goes into wrestling", etc. Some think this was filmed before Rocky. In any event Sly cringes at the thought of this film as well as FIST but they're both not bad. They're better than most of what passes for entertainment today.

  • i like this song.

    thank you

  • Great movie.

  • OMG!!! LOL..I guess Frank wasnt avaiable

  • Yeah, theres some great scenes in this film. Very quotable when I was at school as I remember.

  • Classic film.

  • stallone rulez! ;) sexy too :P.

  • I like his voice when he sings. Coarse his brother frank has a smother voice. but that's the breaks some are singers some are not. Movie was ok.

  • a great movie !

  • hero

  • lol he swnds drunk lol

  • very good song. stallone may not be a singer, but he does it with passion and that means something. good memories of this song and wrestling film from my youth. rock on.
