I just bought a Graupner x-412 yesterday but still haven't built a plane. They gave it with a receiver and one servo but i wonder if i shouldn't buy much lighter servos for a small plane.

just use what is recommended. usually small planes are good with 9g servos

Thanks for reply and congratulations with marriage! :D I just ordered some 4 servos of medium weight (28 g). I thought it is better because from too much flying with flight simulator i like slow response commands (not aerobatic) so if i buid some contraption out of insolation foam it may work (provided that i fit it with powerful enough el. motor that feeds on 11V. You live in lovely area!-is it south china? I studied some chi-gong and your area reminds me of where magician John Chang lives...

I do not recognize this south and north in China but I can tell you we live in Guangdong Province, Dong Guan City :D

I just saw your city on Google Earth--it looks very beautiful! The municipal square gardens are so enourmous and pretty: very green. I even saw this looong island along the river and you flying your plane there --lol--kidding. There is one island though that looks like it: it has a big bridge above it in the middle and is accessed by small bridge on one of its ends.

Ah you must have found Dong Guan. But try to come a little big around it to find Huang Jiang Town :) and you can easily find that place where we fly planes (i mean this spot in the video) its just by the expressway

I think i saw something there that resembles the stripe you fly at: it is almost between Huang Jiang and Xiancun but on the left (west) side, almost stuck to the big freeway. It has an "L"-shape, only no river and no orange/green tennis courts. The green hills are there.

By the way, do do planes and use Oracover on the balsa or you just preffer to fly? I'm getting some balsa tomorrow to build one light electric but don't know how Oracover works when cover-time comes...

yes the place is by the Freeway. If I fly a bit more far i will be flying over freeway and cause accidents cuz drivers will look at planes lol :) I do not make planes with balsa. I just buy and assemble my man. So can't help with it. as I have never done it :)
