So did Helgast start the war by attacking Earth for power? I've only played Killzone2 and I see the ISA as the bad guys invading Helgan.

@Sam1994M No not really. What happened is that their was a previous war between the Helghan corporation and the ISA. The ISA destroyed the Helgan forces and took Vehka (the planet killzone takes place on). The remaining Helghast fled to Helghan and due to the hard conditions Visari is able to come to power and then builds up the Helghast military. Then the new Helghast superpower military re-invade Vehka in order to re-claim it as their own. They fail and then in Killzone 2 the ISA retaliate.

i was thinking about getting killzone3 but i dont really know the story if someone would be kind enuff to tell me the story and do i have to know the story to play killzone3?

I don't know why they call the Helghasts "Fascists." Actually, the Helghast is just like the Americans. If you listen to what the Scholar is saying, he said (:40-:51), his plight is similar to that of the so-called "forefathers." They said they escaped "oppression" just like the Helghast. They said that they wanted an opportunity, just like the "forefathers." What's the difference? The ISA would be to the Helghast, what the British was to America.

I think Killzone would be a much better game if they displayed all of the arsenal of weapons they had from Killzone. They also had a better and more action packed story. Playing the campaign from four different perspectives was awesome. All it really needed was better graphics and the ADS feature.

Goddamn i miss the original Killzone. Better story, better weapons and better vehicles than Killzone 2 and according to most reviews, Killzone 3. Still cant believe they made both Templar and Visari's death seem so....rather insignificant in the greater scheme of things.

@isamarine Yeah. Radec Killed Templar in Killzone 2 and Visari was killed by Rico. It kind of sucked, since for the most part they are extremely major characters. Just... shunned. Who the hell leads them in Killzone 3? Some old man. Yeah...

The story basicly goes the helghast secede from the UNSC this of course is not popular with UNSC so they invade their planet and conquer it. Then sending colonial ships to keep the planet loyal
