It's just a dang elevator , Schindler is the worlds best elevator company and lots of companys in my state buy them , schindler is rated the best top company in america , otis is not

The weaknesses are simply based on the design of individual elevators. Schindler hydraulics can be fast if they employ OTIS roped hydraulic propulsion designs. When acquiring Schindler units you can order to have door closing buttons as a standard fitting.

By the way, is the sound of the powertrain audible as you press the call button to activate the car?

An elevator will be as fast (or as slow) as the customer orders it. One manufacturer's elevators are not any faster than another's. As for the door close button, they exist today mainly for fire service operation, where it must be pushed and held for the door to close. Otherwise, depending on jurisdiction, there are set times the doors must remain open-- so overriding with door close is not functional.

Yes, I see. But this is not the case in Asia. Asian operation codes require that everything can be controlled by the passengers riding in the car. A door closing button that functions is required to allow instant door closing. But to allow prolonged door opening there can be a door hold button, or simply press and hold the door opening button manually.

1 the controller doest use door close

2 the sound of the bell is too loud half the time

3 they are slow
