Yes!!! yes! right i need your help / advice. Im assuming you took apart your xacti and removed the IR filter from the lens assembly? Then attatched a high powerd IR LED to the camera?? I was wondering If the Xacti has a IR filter in the lens? and if it does it it easy to remove it? many thanks + great modding
@hellofraz1 If you are used to taking apart things with small screws, its easy. Take a photo of each step before you remove the screws so that you know where each part goes.
The CCD is at the back of the lens unit held on by some screws. Remove this and the IR filter basically falls out, its not inside the lens unit if you see what i mean. Put it all back together and job done.
The illmination is from a laser illuminator I already have. I find LED illuminators better for digital NV though.
