i put this fantastic song on my 'sleepy time cassette' a long time ago when we had cassettes....it was so relaxing and helped me sleep. it is such a great song with an even greater message. i love the dave mathews band.
You ALL should check out Nikhil Korula (from the Nikhil Korula Band) perform this song. The NK Band has opened for Dave Matthews Band twice along with other artists like John Mayer, Jason Mraz and others. Promise you will love it...
These lyrics struck home with me the first time I heard them. Makes me think of Humanities' arrogant assumption that we're the climax of evolution on this planet(Not everyone, just in general). How we raised ourselves above the other primates and animals on this planet.
I remember the first time I heard this song - it was a few years after I wrote a short-story in elementary school about a monkey who escapes the zoo and becomes a businessman (or well...businessmonkey, wearing a suit and working in an office downtown)
iam the proudest man you will ever see! dave supreme!

@OvertlyRevolutionary Whats your point of view? I see it in two ways, a person moving from the country to the city and getting stuck there.
And human's tendency to think we're better than the rest of the creatures on the planet.
