Tornado Lightning Storm in Elmore, Alabama 4-27-11

I just wanted to pipe up and say I recently reviewed my footage taken from Millbrook that night and I for sure got the wall cloud and possible funnel. I need to upload it.

was this before the tornado went over because i was watchin from my house and is was light day light with flashes of darkness at my house with the lightnening

@TheRUSSELLBOY It hadn't touched down yet, but I do think that's the wall cloud there. At the end of the video where you can hear me saying I have to get off the phone, my husband had just come out to say that Rich Thomas had said there was a rotating wall cloud about 2 miles NE of the Wetumpka airport, which is basically where we live. We went and hung out in the downstairs bathroom until it passed.

@EclecticMuse4 i live in eclectic and we were listen to wsfa before the tornado hit and he was sayin it was down and was headed toward lake martin we didnt think any thing till power went out and the lighting got really bad we went out on our front porch and everthing stoped no rain no lighting then we saw the tornado and got inside just in time

20-30 miles from wetumpka, al. Which is apart of elmore county. I know it did some damage in santuck but eclectic was hit the hardest.

I have a friend who lives in Elmore, AL. I read that 5 people died, but can't find more information :( I cannot get a hold of my friend. Did the tornado go through Elmore?

@RyanWanciak As far as I know all of the damage (and the fatalities) was between Santuck and Eclectic, about 20-30 miles from Elmore. No damage here I think. I hope you find your friend!

Yeah my house is fine. I live off 143 about 2 blocks from the Chevron, so yeah, we are pretty close :)

i live in blount county ,tn we got hit hard to down here and had some tornadoes it was a very bad storm

I live about a mile and a half from the airport, this passed RIGHT over my house.
