  • Please tell how up to upload "any" thumbnail as a partner???

  • @dave7222 If you are a partner you can upload a thumbnail image under the 'edit video info' page for each of your videos. That button is found in your 'my videos' list.

  • @Castaa Ok, I just looked to make sure but there is Not an "upload" option on that page. There are the normal three choices that are default, but No upload button I see. Please tell......

  • @dave7222 Well are you an official YouTube Partner?

  • @Castaa I believe I am yes, and my Adsense account is linked

  • @dave7222 That revenue sharing, not partnership. Partnership is something you have to specially apply for and is usually only given if you meet the criteria I outlined in this video.

  • @Castaa ok think I see now, but I had to apply for a partnership in order to do the revenue sharing. So I figured that when I got the ability to connect my Adsense account then that meant I was a partner. If not why in the world would YouTube allow me to collect on Ads and Not be a partner.

  • @dave7222 Having revenue sharing on a few videos and being a partner are different. If a video is making enough views, youtube will invite you to apply for revenue sharing on that video. If you apply for partnership and are accepted, you can enable revenue sharing on ALL of your uploads provided they don't break the TOS. If you were a partner you would know it. For a start, underneath the three thumbnail options there would be an option to upload a custom thumbnail.

  • This was a great video! Thank you for the tutorial! :D

  • Actually, you can easily add a black pic for the end. you don't need a title.

And, I must say, no offence, but windows movie maker is one of the most boring and amateur-ic video editing software. Don't you want to try Sony Vegas Pro or maybe Adobe video editing softwares.

  • That is awesome advice. Thank you.

  • Sounds a little tedious, but it'll do. I'm trying to rick roll my subscribers :D, and hopefully not lose some

  • Thanks really helpful info

  • Nice man this is useful for my montages! THX :D

  • @HannahTheScribe Thanks. Why not upload your videos at 720p?

  • Nice tip, but it's not 100% working always i think, i tested it and uploaded private first, then deleted and uploaded again, the 2nd time with the same file the 2 of the 3 thumbnals where different hmm..

  • Nice tip on how to change video length, re-upload and try, try again, to get just the right thumbnail. It is tricky, isn't it?

  • Very helpful...always wondered why the YouTube partners had such great thumbnails.

  • @chickyfinn Thanks. Ya the few dishonest people ruin it for all non-partners. There are a lot of missing features in YouTube because of spammers and the dishonest. It's sad.

  • really helpful! lol cause sometimes my thumbnails make me look really weird.... or maybe it's because i just do look weird. :D

  • @jeantardd ya, if you are weird, this tip might not work.

  • Great tip! Thanks.

  • I liked this video alot, My thumbnails are always of me pulling half blinking pics :D

    Alluuuminum :D

  • @sarahspooner1 Thanks :)

  • Thanks for the tutorial. Yes I was going to say something about partner thumbnails, but you already said it.

  • @onemon22 Ya, it's unfair. But what isn't on YouTube.

  • Nice idea except if you just uploaded a 1Gig HD masterpiece it's a bit of a PITA to render as well as re-upload. I'm a partner and I can set the thumbnail to anything I like. Why can't they give that functionality to all users. Or, failing that, give the user the option to pick one of the many thumbnails it now generates while it processes the video during upload?

  • @rozeboosje There are a lot of features that suck on youtube because of a small percentage of people abuse the system with spam and deceit. At least with partners, if they abuse the system they can in theory lose their accounts.

  • @Castaa Yup.

  • Because of my thumbnail for "Sexual Understanding" youtube marked it restricted.

  • @poolboyinla What was the thumbnail of?
