  • What's best a dragonfly or the XGK ??

  • A retard must be using this stove, why would you pump the stove after its lit, you should have already done that and it primes on its own no need for separate squeeze bottle priming.

  • @afterthefox7

Posting without thinking is a crime

  • @afterthefox7 Whisperlite stoves come with a choice of two nozzles - gas or kero. That is why it is called a multi-fuel stove. Any knowledgeable person would also know that the combustion qualities of kero are so poor that it is useless as a pre-heating medium - hence the alcohol. Now why don't you be very big, liberate yourself and make your next message an apology to the video poster for calling him/her a retard? I think that would earn you some respect from all the watchers on youtube!

  • @DinoDoesStuff Do I know you? if not, lets keep it that way.

  • @afterthefox7 Exactly the standard of reply I expected - you had a chance to look grown up but you blew it. By the way - does the person you authorised yourself to call a "retard" KNOW YOU?

  • a1 ok

  • 1:53 to 1:57 awesome

  • F**k me !! It really does sound like a jet engine!

  • if you bend the tripod in a few millimetres, you can use a "phat" foster beer can for a pot. Boils in like a minute and a half. Best stove ever...but its sooooo loud that when you turn it off, you think you have gone deaf. :-) Especially at night.

  • white gas cost $8.88 a gallon at......

  • no camper here.

  • Damn that thing sounds like a Jetengine heheh cool Great Vid. P.Nielsen Viking-Survival

  • I was thinking of buying msr`s new simmerlite, until I found out it only runs on white gas.

I can get petrol easily and cheaply, but white gas/coleman ? its hard to get and expensive in comparison.

You could take the dragonfly anywhere around the world, but not the simmerlite. Maybe theyll make it run off petrol one day, too

  • what about the whisperlite internationale? it runs on unleaded petrol and kerosene too and is the same price as the simmerlite unless you want the simmer for easier flame control purposes?

  • I have used a whisperlite internationale for about 8 years on unleaded petrol. Flawless - an excellent stove! Don't be tempted by the Dragonfly for petrol, I've heard that the precise control mechanism, while excellent for simmering, has very fine internal parts which clog easily with anything other than white gas.

  • for gods sake man, speak!!!!!!!

  • I laughed so hard, when i read your comment :D

  • It may be an additive in the fuel that burns with a green hue until it reaches a specific temp? Just a guess.

  • does anybody tell me why is starts green?

  • Its the metal content in the fuel (copper insteade of lead) in combination with the low temperature. At low temperature, the excitition energy emmited from the outer orbitals of the metal give off the green colour, then the energy emmited is higher and we see different colour. I hope that helps. Nicos

  • Does this man know how to speak?

  • Ha ha ha!! I agree with the "stupid squeeze bottle"!!

  • That "stupid squirt bottle" has alcohol in it, not the white gas. The alcohol won't leave soot all over your stove.

  • I understand, but at 3000m in the mountain, the squirt bottle is a little bit embarrassing...

Btw, I bought a Primus Omnifuel and it work like a charm, with every fuel your may find and with pressurised cans. The best stove ever.

  • u dont have to squirt fuel in to the priming cup at the bttom just open the gas line up a little and let some of the non liquedfied furl flow then close and now u have the same thing u did with that stupid squirt bottle

  • in the title it says 'kerosene preheat'

this means that he is using kero as opposed to white gas and so he requires to preheat or prime the stove with meths

    not being nitpicky
