they had the technology to travel to another GALAXY but could not stop an asteroid from colliding with their planet? wasn't anyone on the planet monitoring the sky? i'm pretty sure at their level of technology, they would have had hundreds of permanent bases in the orbit and on the moons phobos and deimos constantly monitoring the space. there is no way they could have missed the asteroid.

This has got to be one of the most touching endings to an incorrect scifi film I've ever seen. I mean sure, this is a good hypothesis, but damn it just blows my mind and makes me question. Did we come into existence? Because of another entity or race from outside or away from our own planet?

This has got to be one of the most touching endings to an incorrect scifi film I've ever seen. I mean sure, this is a good hypothesis, but damn it just blows my mind and makes me question. Did we come into existence? Because of another entity or race from outside or away from our own planet?
Seeing this for the first time when I was 10, blew my mind away with a 12 gauge thought inducing shell. 10 years, I'm 20 and it still BLOWS me away. This ending kicks ass! :D

But i am used to this on youtube: the religous commenters always feel ideologically justified to use any underhand technique or even outright lies as long as it furthers their religion. Give a concrete example, i.e evidence, of what you claim of us that supports your conclusion of us and then perhaps you can claim yourself to be scientific.

The people who invented the tech you are using didn't research how to do so using a religous book. What i object to in these comments is the veiled attempt to say science is just another religion by vaguely saying 'everything is opinion'. Sure, this movie was more about the human drama and wishful thinking rather than accurate science. But Panspermia is much more likely than religious creation myths because at least Panspermia can be supported by scientific possibility.

Also in ALL the space fils, all the space ships move like their gliding through air, you also hear all the sounds and sea lasers that "havent arivet yet" or or suposedly goin in difernt direction. #you can only see a laser if it's bounced off particles and by the time you do see it, it's too late, there is no sound in space and space ships only move in straight lines.

At least the ending on the film is somewhat based on what scientists think, yet the christians go crying because it does not say the earth is only 6000 years old and made by magic, this film does not even have ANYTHING to do with the bilble fairy tale nonsense.
