It is true, the American people have far more to fear from within than without. And, it is entirely possible to destroy ourselves by caving in to fearmongering. Let us not be found pointing fingers factitionous faultfinding but rather banding together in unison. Having confidence in the power of diplomacy & being heard as we protest our greviences.
Remember, we voted our representatives into office, we,re into this together.
There is an international rich man's crime ring around the earth that has given many of those corrupt dictators to take us over thru Wall Street. And after reading just a few of the many I will read, it's not surprising. Guess which politicians in office is using info to sell phony companies to foreign nation's governments....
he said "vote for the right people" Is he nuts? look what our choices are.........they all need to be extricated from DC.......the constitution says it is "encumbent upon us to remove or overthrow a corrupt government"
@sagecutter Ralph Nader would of made a decent president from what I can gather - it's only a 2 party system by peoples voting habits (there are obstacles of course but generally speaking).
@LazarusCato Agreed LazarusCato. I voted for Ralph. If he would've won, chances are there would have been a very sophisticated smear campaign, aka "scandal" fabricated to have him impeached.
@LazarusCato i'm not certain of the solution, but i can damn sure tell you it has nothing to do with all these blowhards in DC, they gotta go, along with the lobbyists. We could start with TRUE campaign finance reform....if you take the financial incentives out of DC, you might get true patriots to step up to the plate. Our country is in danger.big danger.....i hope Americans realize what they are about to lose by choosing not to educate themselves on our current govt. Good luck to you.
Famous last words "we've become a class society", ah duh, i thought that was the ideology under which capitalism has always worked in America, i.e convince the people they all have equal opportunities and rights, then privilege a select few of the most wealthy individuals. The idea that America is a free and equal society is one of the main myths that underpins Capitalist propaganda. Its elementary stuff that only ignorant and indoctrinated people would believe. Wake up, hit the streets, fight!
@gambit1357 Yeah!! Ron Paul's every person for themselves politics works so well in a completely interconnected economy that depends on people working together. Not to mention the racist newsletters, comments about workplaces not being accessible to handicapped workers, comments about slavery possibly being OK since anything done by the government is so horrible and anything done by the market (like crashing our economy in late 08) is great. Man Ron Paul's libertardian minions are funny. lol
Rich make money on the way up & on the way down. They pay little to no federal income tax. When they commit a crime (mistake for the politically correct), they get more money & more bonuses thanks to the tax payer.
The tax code is complicated – on purpose. We have enough money to fight 5 wars but not enough to help citizens – on purpose. You are allowed to select a president; both of which support the status quo – on purpose.
All of this for the land of the free & home of the brave.
@TripleSpeak Agreed. While the Real News Network is leaps and bounds more valuable than any mainstream media satellite, in order for serious subjects to be covered in a way that explains them fully we need to shed some of the constraints of the traditional news model altogether. Namely, the condition of constraint. But there are many reasons for that condition, and we truly appreciate the hard work.
sacrifice?.... who is to sacrifice??? You expect wallstreet to sacrifice? Politicians?... no my friends, the people who mismanaged this get billions in bonuses... the people, the public, the blue-collar workers will be sacrificed and become the unwashed masses.
This guy is a joke has nothing to say but worn out bullshit and cherrypicks FDR, and for lack of better words is a Socialist just like Keynes who was a Fabian Socialist, and his ideas are just a re-wording of Johns Laws which when that man put forth these idea's were proven a failure
@mikeoli I take it you are not a socialist? I assume them that if you stop working now you cn maintain your life style on what ever you have left in the bank until the day you die. IF you can't and you are not a socialist then you are a fucking idiot.
He believes that he want's to be President. He believes that he wants to be reelected. He believes that he should do what the ruling class pays him to do. He believes that it would be great if he could play golf every other day.
amazingly a socialist writing "age of greed" favours "stimulus", funny, obviously he does not know what a "stimulus" actually is. He simply does not understands whos paying those bills at the end.
The Democratic Party is always sending me emails requesting donations. I'm poor, so all I can contribute is a pittance. Wealthy contributors are able to make donations many orders of magnitude greater than mine. So, my small donation, even if taken in combination with other small contributors, is not going to influence positions that the Democratic Party takes on. Obama's election campaign is a case in point... many small contributors, but wealthy people and Wall Street still overwhelmed us.
@pmccarthy001 i don't think that's what he meant when he talked about financial support. i'm thinking he probably either means supporting a third party (it seems ridiculous to me that by now people haven't started mass organizing for that yet...) or supporting things like the real news or other organizations that try to educate people.
of course the effectiveness of that is questionable.i think chris hedges has a more realistic view on the only thing remaining that could work: civil disobedience
"We have become a class society" as opposed to before when the United States (and the West more generally) were classless societies of egalitarianism and altruism.
@cheddyrod Now in the U.S. you can be Working and still be in a Depression. That’s the goal. Enslavement. And it’s here today. So when this guy talks about Helping. He means helping the Wall Street Nation Destroyers.
@workwillfreeyou Yes~! My wife and I haven't had a three-day weekend for 11 months. She asked for (1) day off piggy-backed with the 4th weekend. The company requires a 2-week notice, for which she complied. They declined her request, claiming she could not have a long holiday weekend. Her scheduler gave her her regular weekend 4th and 5th-- and then her holiday day off, the 7th. I feel it is more about CONTROL than about holiday schedule.
Christian charity~? Of course, the owners are Christian. Fine IMAGE they have in the community. They hired a victim of Bernie Madoff's scam and took great PRIDE in their charity and concern-- paying him $10 an hour to greet people as they came in the deli. Image vs substance.
