AC Grayling on women's rights, Sharia and secularism

Grayling makes a fantastic point:the greatest obstacle to the advancement of women's rights is women themselves(and I write this as a woman).Why women continue to overwhelmingly support these belief systems which regard them at best as perpetual children and at worst the bringers of sin and evil is very complex(women tend to love traditions,even misogynistic ones,and wish to raise children w/strong ties to the community),but it's something that we need to fight.Women,stand up for yourselves!

@elzakrasz I agree with you. I have often asked myself why other women cannot realize this? Why would any self-respecting woman want to associate herself with an institution that regards women as nothing other than brood mares and unpaid maids for men? I realized this when I was 8 or 9 years old. I think many of us, unfortunately fall for the idea that women are put on earth for the approval of others. I used to feel like that until I woke up one day an realized how irrational I was being.
