I feel like Rugby is MORE complicated than American Football and yet has less strategy... what an odd sport.

@THawkoo That is something a lot of people think when they first watch the sport. However I think it's less complicated and has basically the same strategy... score points!! And it's controlled by ONE referee controlling 30 players, with help from a couple of side judges, unlike American football that requires half a dozen zebras to control 22 players. Rugby is just as hard hitting too and much more a test of stamina than American football. I doubt the NFL players would make it in Rugby.

when a person gets takled and know support is there they have to put the ball out and if know one is there u can take it and run :) you can drive when a person gets takled and then ur team helps push

@footballforever20 Well it's not really about the legality. You can drive someone away any way possible. But the best way to do it is to bind with your shoulders, and drive with your legs.

once a player is tackled he turns around (lying down) presents the ball to his players and then the forwards defend the ball and wait 4 the scrum half to pass the ball out to the backs

When a guy is tackled what happens? Is there just a fight over the ball? Also does play stop only when it goes out of bounds, when it is fumbled(using football terms), or when there is a penalty?

when a guy is tackled their is ruck where the two teams try and grab the ball. play also stops if their is a fowl or something

Yeah if no one is around to start up the ruck, you can get up after a tackle and pick up the ball and go.

If the ruck is clearly won by your team and your team mates have pushed the opponents away and you see the ball, snatch it up and run. LMAO I just got back from my school's rugby tournament today. I know it doesn't mean much but w/e lol :P

once there knees touch the ground and the forward come the ref says RUCK and opposing team must go over the player and its a penalty going around

Probably not rumours, just lojic. There was no rugby 07, but rugby 08. So there will be rugby 2010 because there is no 2009. They were concentrating too much on Fifa 09.

42 jolly > if you have the ball its likely youll win the ruck wen tackled as your forwards are alredy there to support and ruck over . this is the same case 4 the opposition but you can force a turn over by handling in a ruck but will be penalized if cought... also if you have the ball and are tackled far away from your forwards they will not be able to support and it is likely that your opposition will gain posession of the ball

Not necessarily...yes, you gave a good explanation, but there's also the chance for the tacklee not to release the ball in the right direction (to his team's side). And also, if he can't place himself after a tackle it's very likely that he'll just release the ball forward, resulting therefore in a turnover, since he released the ball to the opposition side of the ruck. And as for handling the ball to force a turnover, well, that's pretty much cheating you know? ;)

WHich way the tackled player is presenting the ball. Towards your team its your teams ball if they fall to the ground and face the opposition its theres.

in the video game it depends on how many forwards you commit to the breakdown. if you have more then them, your chance of winning the ball increases. also you can (for ps2, not sure bout anythign else) click r3 to put hands in the ruck to try and get the ball. everything else comes down to luck.
