For example,if you asked "how you pull a trigger with?"to professional people shooting a gun.
It cannot explain it only in pull of a trigger.
In the same way"Move it of a body, and "move it of an arm, and there is various" "mental adjustment" "a durability" "kind of a sword"is related in throwing of Shuriken.
A method of "no-spin" is written in a book of "Combat knife throwing" published in America.
But we Japanese people improve the original skill of Kuruma ken in Bujin kan,Iga and Koga Ninja schools.they superior technology of tradition, to be different from Bo Shuriken jutsu.
All things of this world seem to be so, and both Shuriken includes an advantage and a weak point.
Oh, HouzanSuzuki-san. Konnichi wa ogenki desu ka? Sumimasen. Forgive me for asking the question like that. I should of added more to it. Can you throw the regular polygon shuriken either way(under-hand or reverse) with the same accuracy? I will like to see a video on it. ~Ja ne.
Incredible. Amazing dedication and practice. I only learned brief throwing tactics from kenjutsu but what you showed..was nothing I've ever seen before, speed, distance, accuracy, truely top notch
Yeah I've seen tons of vids about you, I didn't even know you had vids on youtube. I learned something new lol, I didn't even know long distances aren't for real battle. These are some excellent lessons I learned, arigatou gosaimashta
I've been studying shuriken for about 2 years now and recently about 3 months ago I started trying out all ryu and I have like 15 ryu so far, mostly bo shuriken.
I don't care about western throwing knives...I just want to throw shuriken.
I looked at your animation and thought that it was splendid.
I think that curiosity and pleasure are the most important.
It is the best, most favorite skill that you selected and to learn from most favorite teacher that you selected.
It is my personal opinion, Japanese traditional Shuriken adjusts it to a position of our frame of body and "a pelvis" of a Japanese people, and it is made.
However, I do not think it fits a splendid build of European and American people.
Practical use of shuriken is from the distance of about 6 to 9 meters, as opponents can avoid blades by watching at the greater distance.
I have some interests in real world application, but I haven't done lots of study on it.
As there are some limitation is traditional Japanese shuriken (both the blades and throwing methods), I'm studying the design and how to throw the shurikens.
It includes shuriken throwing as a sports, hobby, and play.
Amazing! I'm speechless at this achievement.

This is No-spin thrwong.
Generally people call a "Quarter-spin as No-spin" in Europe and America.
But you can watch really complete No-spin in video of Master Wu-Laoshi of Taiwan.
HouzanSuzuki 3 years ago
Its really amazing how far you can throw by No Spin. I find half spin much easier.

There "are some Shuriken schools" in Japan.
All of them teach a different thing.
Of course, my "Mumyou-ryu" includes the original teaching and logic to be different from others.
By the way, do you really do an effort to get throwing skills?,or is it only interest?

5+ stars! Can you throw the throwing stars with the same accuracy?
yurushii 4 years ago
When you ask it, please call thickness and size weight of Shuriken, of the regular polygon that you say.And What kind of throwing?
From an overhand or from underhand? Sideways from reverse?...or other?.
Because an answer becomes incorrect if question is not correct.
I can throw it with the same precision by the same distance whith"KURUMA-ken" of 100g.
When I call it {Shuriken-jutsu} generally besides some schools in Japan, It mean a thing of "BO-Shuriken".
HouzanSuzuki 4 years ago
Because Kuruma Shuriken is easy than a stick Shuriken.
As for Kuruma Shuriken, 5 times are simpler than a Bo shuriken.
I stung five pieces of "star Shuriken"simultaneously, in the animation which I contributed particularly.
HouzanSuzuki 4 years ago
But we Japanese people improve the original skill of Kuruma ken in Bujin kan,Iga and Koga Ninja schools.they superior technology of tradition, to be different from Bo Shuriken jutsu.

Either is not superior.

Star Shuriken was out of my specialty, but I tried it.
Instead of this place, it is improved in my account.
Please try to challenge you too.
You can study difficulty and pleasure of Shuriken "only by Practicing it".
And I look forward to upload of animations of "your own".
By the way,"Bujin-kan" has the person who is the best at "reverse side throwing" in Japan.

HouzanSuzuki 4 years ago
I think that there are each build and a frame of body and throwing to get of balance to European and American people.
Japanese traditional throwing, it is only born from our frame of body and our culture and our value system.
Therefore, please create "original throwing" in all each person.
HouzanSuzuki 4 years ago
"Quarter-spin" or "one-spin" gains pleasure and possibility of throwing.
Probably I think that all people in the world overtake a level of Japanese for "less than 5 years".
And it is the thing that I expect heartily.
Please realize a lot of "possibility than us".
I think that there is strange English because it is automatic translation.
If there was an unclear point, please say.

Throwing long distance isn't for a real battle, but for experiments.
And it helps us to eliminate wastefull movemnents, in addition to increasing the accuracy for shorter distance.

THere are at least 5 Japanese who can throw 18 meters with quater-spin (no-spin).
In Japanese history, shuriken haven't used in real battle, so mcuh.
Lots of tales come from fictions.
Yet there are some true stories.
I'm hoping that western people can utilize Japanese shuriken techniques for throwing knives.
There is no need for worshipping Japanses traditional methods without valid reason
as there are many short comings.
