@redpunk and less, this is why you see prices (or in your view worth of an item) go higher and higher. this is called inflation of the money supply. If you go back to a gold standard and wipe the fradulent derrivitives from the books and liquidate the real debt of the nation, the "worth" of things will drop because now the money supply, which has been way over inflated, will shrink. prices will fall and your dollar will once again buy more items. the "worth" u see now is false.
