  • I like this song

  • This song hermetically seals a generation.

  • essa é a ilustração título do meu twitter...

    Half a Person

    sobe o som mulekada!!!!!!

  • Mozzer IS a genius. Johnny IS a genius

  • Apologies for my rambles .. Amtrotec2. I guess what is learned is that some people can tell the story of their life in 5 seconds and others are boring fools. That's the story of my life. That's the story of my life. The story of my life.

  • @11xzxzxz: No problem! I think the Smiths has the merit of being unique and unparalleled in his time. In the '60s there were The Hollies, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Byrds ... which were very similar. I personally think that the Beatles were very overrated. I like most of the Hollies and the Byrds than the Beatles because they are less commercial. Hug!

  • @11xzxzxz: It was only a manner of speaking, but I say this because I like more sound less mainstream as possible (and preferably, alternative and experimental). In the case of the Beatles, I prefer the psychedelic phase them. Hug!

Not sure I will ever completely agree with your opinion.

Without denigrating your's or anyone elses opinion, maybe too much, or not enough, emphasis is put on where you were in your life when you were first influenced by any artist or band, at least enough to "Rate," them off apart from others.

    Peace.

  • @11xzxzxz I think I'll respond to your novella in just one comment, and only those things that made a "strong," impact.

I never felt you were, "Putting John or Paul down at all."

I don't believe I'm, 'better at explaining a a song into a storyline that awakens," anyone. In fact, the ongoing messages/comments regarding Cortez are more and more of a mystery to me, simply writing what was happening at that time, which did have an effect on my future.

    Finally, I meant no criticism.

    Peace.

  • @11xzxzxz

I wasn't making a point against comparing artists/bands, but while I may be one to, "Look for," the positive, simply as pat of my nature, I choose not to respond to another who may write something very negative about anyone, far from simply choosing to, "Compare artist's."

I've just never been one to make much of comparisons except for the times when a song may sound similar to another from different aritist's or bands.

    No negativity meant towards you.

    Peace.

  • @11xzxzxz You have made several comments at several songs, and my novella comparison was in jest.

Call it what you want, but I also see very deep insight in what you write.

Being true to myself, I need to be honest with you when I can't "Completely agree," with you or anyone else.

'perverse1980,' statement, 'best band of all times the only band to overcome the beatles in intelligence and lyrics.' 20 people (Smith fans?) have agreed so far. Can you "Completely agree?"

    Peace.

  • @rockinroller7 Remember The Cortez killer comment was a sincere compliment from me & just got tangled in some weird grudge I had ( whether it had a strong or weak basis in reality or not will remain unresolved with the raven, nevermore. You are as good as anyone on YT at interpreting a song lyric, gestalt-wise, and I told you that b4. Me? I'm good for a sentence or 2 and if u have 5 secs to spare. I went off in part because this song is the story of my life - 16 clumsy and shy. Best to you.

  • @11xzxzxz I appreciate the compliment, but have to tell you that you have severely underestimated the power and ongoing strength of your own estimations and interpretations of any song at least of those I've read.

We all go off, I suppose, in our own ways when we feel our sacred ground has been trampled upon with no apparent understanding from the party doing the trampling.

Try not to be so hard on yourself, and keep sharing your insights, up or down.

    Peace.

    Rock

  • @rockinroller7 Yeah thanks so much for sharing that insight and will try to be less hard on myself and others. Hope your day is eventful and evening is relaxing.

  • @11xzxzxz Too much "Cold," baseball has caught up with me, sniffling and coughing, but I'm tring to "Relax," as you recommended so I can get back in the "Game," here and at the ballparks next week.

    Peace.

    Rock

  • @rockinroller7 Yeah I hope your son becomes a phenom and makes the Bigs and you can sit in one of those heated superbox seats and not worry about the "cold". I forgot to check on the Reds but the Phillies are off to a good start. Is you son a pitcher? If so what does he throw. My best pitch is of course the screwball. Have a good weekend.

  • @11xzxzxz He's pretty good but the "Bigs," is apretty "Big," step from where he is.

Yeah, he pitches, throws a curve, change-up, slider and of course, a fastball. He never learned the screwball, maybe because he alwasy got screwed every time he tried to throw it,LOL!

Feeling better today, but big storms heading our way, may cancel this evenings game.

    Peace.

    Rock

  • @rockinroller7 Yeah I sort of knew he was good but far from the bigs. But do you think he has a chance at the majors? Can he throw close to 90 mph.? Hope the weather forecast changes but it will give you a rest. Did you pitch too when you were young? I was no field good hit "when I was young and she was pretty green". Peace back at you.

  • I'm actually sixteen, clumsy and shy...

  • with this song i fell in love with the smiths and morrissey...thats now 2o years ago and i still can´t stop listen to them..

  • Great sound, Morrissey and Marr too far ahead ...

  • ¡Great clip! The best I can found. It's my favorite song of Teh Smiths. Greetings from Perú...

  • one of my favorites from the smiths

  • ```````````WORSE than nigers or fags youre all cunts

  • Images are fantastic. I do like lyrics with the music. The Smiths may sound depressive, but no one is able to say that they have been egocentric, such as we find musicians nowadays. Lest but not least: it's a pleasure hearing a basic sound encompassing voice, guitar, bass and drums. Years later The Police made that only with 3 people. Congratulations and greetings from Brazil.

  • How could he book HIMself in at the yWca (for WOMEN) ?

  • this is really great

  • Not enough appreciation-Mine though for this upload-TY!

  • I just spent the better part of an hour looking for this song by going from site to site with the lyrics i knew. I don't want to take up your time by making a long message , I love this song. I weep a little every time the outro plays " that's the story of my life". Beautifully tragic and poetic. So Bittersweet.

  • Love this clean, studio-quality audio of the Smiths' great song (just one of many, that is). Accept no substitutes, this is the genuine article!
