Great vid Bob - glad you had a good visit to us in the North. I am from the outer Manchester area originally (yes I am a Lancashire lad living in Yorkshire), I have used Metrolink on and off since it was built - always found it quick and efficient. Not been on any of the new trams. If you had gone to Bury you could have experienced the 'interesting' ride on the way back to Victoria - assuming it has not been sorted. Would classify as rough-riding in my book. Stu

@Jonern67 Thanks Jon, at the beginning of the run, the trams are moving through a very busy city centre, winding its way slowly through busy streets, however when it gets to the outskirts of the city it travels along the Manchester to Bury ex British Railways line which allows higher speeds....Bob

@XxMCR999MCRxX yeah after market street heading in the bury direction but in the junction between the altringham/eccles direction, bury, piccadilly lines it's 10-15 mph due to people and vehicles crossing and walking on the tracks

You can tell your very good at what you do with your camera and editing Bob, it just shows in your work when you filmed in Manchester streets, Superb job I thought.

Loved the cab ride too, we were treated with some excellent views.

A very good video there Bob,it is nice to see the trams,i think every town and city should have them.

When i go over to Toronto to see Wayne,i ride the trams most of the day,and boy are those trams old,they used to have trams here in Scarborough,never seen them though,only on old photo's.............John

Some fine clips Bob of a very good tram system. Enjoyed a few nice trips on this myself over the last couple of years to Salford Quays and Bury for the East Lancs. Railway. I particularly liked the clips from the front of the tram. ----Jeff.

Very enjoyable Bob, I love Metrolink and when visiting Manchester use the Park and Ride and take the tram into town, very efficient. Not seen any of the new ones in action until your video.

@acw71000 Thanks Austin, managed to get a return for £13 so too good to miss, I've never seen this Metro System in the flesh and found it fascinating as there is nothing like it in Wales. The section from Victoria to Bury along the old L&YR route was also very enjoyable...Bob
