@xobailee not Exactly bright, but you can so totally tell it's red.. It actually looks kind of purple after the first 2-3 days, but after awhile it looks natural... And i did used half a bottle of Manic Panic Vampire Red, since i didn't want my Whole head red otherwise it just doesn't look.. Good, as i would say since I have tan skin.

When I dyed my hair a few days ago I just went to target and got a light brown hair dye (which turned it orange) Then put in Manic panic purple haze.It came out a pretty reddish color in some lights and dark purple in otehrs.

I'm gonna try it with vampire red next week.

If you want the color to be vibrant you gotta bleach it.(but I wouldnt...)

Manic panic isn't all that good. Devilish by Special effects is almost the same color if not the same and lasts way longer (I dye my hair with it) Also, that protein filler is awesome because it helps make the color more vibrant and last longer. You're supposed to put half the bottle when you mix it with the dye (it says so in the back of the bottle) and lastly, NEVER EVER, when you wash out the bleach, use conditioner if your going to dye afterwards.

use vaseline around your hair line to prevent your skin from staining... :D

but be careful not to get it on your hair as it will work as a barrier

also, when you're in between stages of washing out the bleach before applying the red, your results will be stronger if you dont condition your hair as it also works as a barrier.. (as much as you want to prevent it from snapping) lol

If you want vibrant red I would bleach the hair. When you bleach your hair it makes it hollow so it can suck up all the color. But if you don't want to bleach I would suggest loreal hi brights highlights in red. :) I haven't used it before but I've heard good reviews. Use a 40 developer if you do the loreal hi brights to get a nice bright colour.

Yep and any hair dye. I've also heard to wash it out with vinegar but that sounds icky. You can also put manic panic in your conditioner to help keep your hair color bright. :)

@katthescenegirl You can get this colour, and other colours, in semi and demi permanent (which means they fade after a set number of hair washings). If your hair is dark then it won't have as much as an effect, but it will add nice highlight tones.

I would suggest using Special Effects hair dye because it lasts so much longer than Manic Panic hair dye. Also when you rinse out the dye use only cold water, it helps make sure you don't lose all the color. Also, if your doing a bright color I'd suggest using a dark towel so you don't stain a good one. Try not to wash your hair that often to preserve your color and use a shampoo and conditioner for red heads it really makes difference.

To stop your neck from staining, or any of you for that matter, put vaseline on your neck and hair line. And to help deal with the tub staining, sit down in the tub while rinsing, if you have a handheld shower head. It helps keep the dye water in a smaller area.

It would last longer if you just wash your hair with dishsoap after the bleach, no conditioner or moisturizing shampoo. And if you don't wash your hair as much (: And if you ever want to bleach your hair lighter than that you'll need a lot more product and to put it on thicker, in smaller sections :D
