You have to do the rain dance to appease the rain god.

Gather everyone together and dance in a counter-clockwise circle, knocking over buildings as you pretend to be a hurricane. Eventually the weather will get caught up in the spirit of celebration and join in.

Well, you need to have your friends on your side for it, I mean, like, not just following you, but you gotta be close enough with them that they'll believe it works. If any of them doubt it it will just fizzle out because the weather will look down and see someone just playing along and they will be like "Hey, these guys don't really mean it." You gotta BECOME the hurricane, with all your heart and wing.

ok im planing to buy spore but in the normal spore is all you can do is make cratures or do you get to run around like this?

Of course you do stuff like this, too.

There are, like, 5 stages to the game, although some of them aren't really fleshed out--they're more mini-games than full sections of gameplay.

The only expansion that's out right now is the parts pack, which is 20+$ and it doesn't really add very much for that price at all.

This was the only time it rained in creature stage for this species; it rains so very, very infrequently that unless you spend a very long time in creature stage you'll probably never see it.

It does! It rains right here : o It just rains so very rarely, and most people play through the Creature Stage so fast they never notice!

Actually, they still can't reach high-hung fruit. They'll need graspers to throw stuff at them so as to knock them down =V But at this point the caterwairies are effectively invincible because there is no other animal on the planet that can catch them.

It rains so very rarely D: This is the only time it rained for the caterwairies. I don't know if it ever rained during my lengthy playthrough as the deddennosaur.

I think the thunderstorms are particularly pretty in this game, and it's a shame weather doesn't occur more often/outside of the Tribal stage.
