Alex Lifeson is one of if not the most underrated guitarists today. He also seems to be pretty down to earth and quite humorous. However, I have to say he has a musical downfall, and that is singing. I can't say I can sing any better, but let's face it, the man can't sing. Love Rush, love the music, but maybe they need to hire a back up singer or two.....?

The rants are the stupidest things I've ever heard. Rush USED to be incredibly talented but seems to have run out of ideas and talent long ago. I was a huge Rush fan, seeing them in concert a few times but you can't even pretend to compare their new stuff with the genius they had in the early years.

Look. If they took everything seriously they'd go crazy(er). These guys have fun onstage, unlike other groups who just stand around looking serious at their mics. That attitude also seems to rub off on their fans. You might have seen the picture of Geddy giving Alex's guitar's distortion knob a twist. This is what I'm talking about. And as for talent--You expect them to have the same sound after 33 years or whatever?

I'm as big a Rush fan as any and I'm also a life long drummer. It's really just my opinion, as there's no way to objectively prove the truth of a "superior" musical expression.... Neil's solos from about 1990 to current day have been less interesting, more goofy and thematically sort of embarrassingly retrograde. He still performs the songs as well as ever, it's just that his solos rely more on polyrhythms and jazz tributes and riffs which jazzers play more effortlessly.
