NeoCon-Fascist RINOS like Dillard are NOT Conservatives and they HATE any limitations on Gov't power over We, the People just as much as the Democrat-Socialists.
I am supporting Andy McKenna, but would be quite happy with Kirk Dillard if he is the nominee. My main concerns with Dillard are his record on taxes and the fact that he lives in DuPage County and I live in Cook and we are generally overlooked by GOP governors. Cook has issues that need attention like exessive litigation, which Andy McKenna says he'll work hard to control.
@JohnRhysMusician You make a good point, so I wonder how this applies to the Dillard being featured in Obama's add. Search the 'tube for "dillard" "obama".
McKenna is too shady for me. That guy started his campaign as the "outsider", do you know his history? The point I'm trying to make is that I would not take McKenna for face value ;) Not telling you who to vote for, just trying to inform.
I was referring to the ad when I said that Obama is clearly a liability.
I am aware of Andy McKenna's history. His father lives just blocks away from me in Winnetka, and Andy has been a great businessman and a great member of the Winnetka and Lincoln Park (where he lives now) communities. Andy McKenna is an outsider in a sense. He has only served as a state party chairman with a party that is in a very small minority, therefore he is hardly an insider. Tribune endorses McKenna.
As for the tribune endorsement ? Does Andy's dad have anything to do with the trib these days?
Outsider means not a democrat...
John, I'm sorry if I dont share your views on Andy. I only wanted to see if you knew him beyond his hair commercials.
One thing you may, or may not, know is Andy's failure to support IL Senate Bill 600. If his intentions, by labeling him self an "outsider", are to distance him self from the machine, he should have supported SB600.
Andy McKenna Sr. is retired and does not have any involvement with the Tribune Corporation or the Chicago Tribune's editorial board.
I originally supported SB600, but when you factor in that no one registers by party in Illinois, it is irresponsible to allow voters to decide who would be party chairman. My committeeman, Tolbert Chisum of Kenilworth, has done a fine job representing New Trier's interests within the Republican Party.

Where's Obama? I thought for sure he'd return the favor with an endorsement of his Kirk... :P

Obama is clearly a liability as seen in Virginia, New Jersey, & Massachusetts.

I think we'll have a fanstastic ticket in 2010.
