Oh my gosh, I didn't know this was on here! This was my first year as a dancer/colorguard member and it was worth it. I still remember the entire routine for this show.

I love this performance. I be abusing the replay button, but what gets to me even more are the three drummajors Elverse, Ashley and Trey. Coming from the best drummajors at Jim Hill HS in the year 2007-2008, Quintez (me), Reggie, and DeLorean will and have always supported Murrah..keep it up ya'll.

The only thing that I didn't like about the show is that the guard was a little busy but it was very together and I liked the dance in the show.....

well first of all you cant compare a high school band to something like blue devils because dci consists of great players. not every child can be great in a highschool band..and secondly im glad you said blue devils. if you havent noticed the number of blacks are rising in drum corp. so you can shut that stuff up about blacks having no class.

However, let's take a step down from the Blue Devils and look across the Pearl River to Pearl High School. Directed by a white man with all-white staff, he has led his band to the state marching championship 3 of the last 5 years. What dictates a champion at a Battle of the Bands? The flashiest, trashiest scene put on by a band is the answer.

Thugboy In the Mississippi if your school is more black than white you have to play these song for the kids to get funding this is a contest. Most of the kid need these contest to get in to college. JSu play music like this also. Black school in this state don't get anything handed to them they have to earn it.

My dad went to Calloway and he always talks about how Lanier wanted to swac all the time and never won any competitions trying to be JSU

That crowd is white man. they r entertainin. But,its not all about choppin if you can play more than percussion instruments with fluidity and control as well as sight read, then you are a good musicians. So man, to be real, dont focus on on tryin to show some one else out, jus focus on becomin a better percussionist, not jus a drummer, be versatile,and focus on gettinmoney for college man,cause if not, u gone look back and realize you couldve been better. Thats comin from real experience man.

See this is the reason that Murrah is named the Best High School band in Mississippi. School Band of Mississippi for the SIXTH consecutive year. I love this band and I'm happy I was able to participate with the murrah mustangs for 4 years. Piccolos rock!!! For it to be only two me and emm held it down!!!! Good luck to you guys next year!!!!
