Im looking at this xbow or the covert cx2 upgraded model. Have you had any problems with strings or cables? Your vid keeps leaning me towards this xbow, no other company can compare on power and speed at this price range, or even alot higher. I know, ive looked at about every hunting xbow out there and keep coming back to this bad boy. Good shooting.

My Predator CRT 385fps ....Ecal 350fps what Excal has going for it is Lifetime warranty,and easy to replace string if brakes in the field.And Yes I have had a Excal sold it cuz it was to wide and didnt shoot as flat as the faster crossbows.As with everything different strokes for different folks :)

I got my predator last november 2010, it has scope mount issue like many. Insted of fighting Barnet again, I bought a Parker Concorde over E-bay for a little more than half the price of Bass Pro Shop. The Predator has Issues that Barnet won't get back to me on... One is the cheek piece being to short the other is the string serving, and now the scope mounting. Also I did order a string from them a month almost ago and just now are they shipping it from what the lady told me on the phone today.

My Predator Is 20 yards using the top line of the scope. What are the lines in your scope set for. Please start with the top line and let me know what you get with each one??? I am using 125 grain field points that match my broad heads right now. And I will most likely not be able to take much more than a 60 yard shot from my hunting blind here on the farm... As a rifle collector/shooter, I was interested in crossbows, but the prices you guys pay for a weapon that's from the Medieval Age is ridiculous. I picked up a 165lb crossbow for $240 (still expensive for what it is, but I figured I could shoot more for cheaper than ammo for my rifles has become nowadays...given I don't miss, lol). I'm putting bolts dead center at 50 yards now with a 1x red dot now. It's pretty fun, but can't beat that sulfur smell from a rifle.
Barnett Crossbow: Large, bulky, and heavy for its capability.
Good bolts and broadheads are expensive,
(6 premium bolts = around $40)
My Ruger 10/22: More compact and more accurate at a longer distance. I can put a round through an aluminum soup can at 200 yards. A crossbow? Forget about it.
More firepower. A 10 round box magazine is standard or you can upgrade to a 25 round banana clip.

I know I could just go get a bow, but I don't have time to practice as much as most people. With a crossbow less practice time is needed to get proficient.

I have a ruger 10/22 as well. Fantastic rifle. Shoots like a dream. Cheap to shoot too. Get a brick of 500 rounds for 16-20 bucks here where I live.
