Turns out this was the first online shopping mall. I also used a computer to do a Mobile DJ event in sept 1999 another 1st in TECH/DJ history. i think they should add things like the introdution of wifi to the cyber world and wide range networking, and items like file sharing software. remote software for the i.t. helper. because without these things email and the internet experience would not be ware it is today.  even gaming in a since. adn somthing these things help it to evolve quickly. to set the tone for the future i would look at open source. i think you will see it more and more. as things like linux become better and better.

i know what you're getting at, but considering the PS didn't relly add much to gaming, while it is an amazing console when you think about what was available, really it didn't offer much new to gaming, well im not sure if any other consoles had a memory card, or if homebrew was capable on anything before it, since those were the 2 main things about the PS that im not sure were available on previous consoles.
