The tragedy of Dead Man Walking is that great roles like that for women come along rarely. It is still a good film just about saved by Penns performance, Robbins direction & the power of the story itself but that role should have gone to a woman more worthy of its talent not someone who happened to be dating the director at the time. And she got an oscar for it ? Unbelieveable ! And why would I need to be a dentist lol ?

No - Sigourney Weaver is an example of a great actress. Susan is completely devoid of any charisma or emotion and furthermore she is wholly unattractive. She completeley killed Dead Man Walking.

@texaspete66 While it's true that Sigourney Weaver is always brilliant, and Susan Sarandon is less-frequently brilliant, you must be a dentist to think she's unattractive, or that she ruined 'Dean Man Walking'. Sarandon has been wonderful in many things, charismatic, emotionally true, and beautiful. I would agree the 'Dead Man Walking' isn't one of these things, but she sure as hell didn't kill it.
