  • that looks like so much fun ! Bike looks like it has all kinds of horsepower

  • Nice! It took me a couple years to look that good. When i first started I rode a 500 twin cam jawa that had a 22" rear tire... It was a beast! Used to burn the hell out of my leg on the giant valve cover. Anyway.... Great job bro!

  • reminds me of ole olsen!

  • He makes it look easy - and I know it aint! Well done

  • And now a treble winner with Buxton in the UK. Congratulations Rob.

  • @355vk1. They are fast, and quick. I like 2 stokes for the most part, but for speedway, sliding so much, you need the steady torque of a 4 stroke. Squirrley too, but most true race vehicles are. Not for novices, or the timid!

  • @tkmikkelsen. We are both wrong, my nordic friend. I spoke with my good friend, who races here in the USA. He corrected me. You are right that long track bikes have a two-speed gearbox. He also said grass track bikes do too. But, the longtrack bikes he has seen have no rear shock. Here is where you were wrong. He says they have one gear. You say they have no gears. He also says he can change it by switching the sprocket that comes out of the primary, the little front one. And tire size can too.

  • Outstanding!

  • Outsanding!

  • not bad, young dude

    go on and good luck!

  • First time on a 500 my butt

  • i got a speedway bike i ride as juniour for beriwck bandits and edinburgh monarchs i was number 8 last week :)

  • Why do you people keep saying speedway bikes have no brakes, no gears. If they don't have gears, how do they go forward? They have two gears, actually, 1st and 2nd. Also, gear ratios can be changed with different size sprockets, and even tire size affects the final drive. So, they might not have brakes, but they DO have gears! Lesson #2.They are hard to handle.

  • @arklat

ahm, you have no clue what you are talking about. A speedway bike does not any gears in the traditional sense, meaning it has no gear box. It is true that you can change the gearing by changing the gear at the back wheel.

When you are talking about having 2 gears. You are confusing a speedway bike with a long track bike, which have 2 gears and back suspension, something a speedway bike is also lacking. Also a long track bike is somewhat longer than a speedway bike.

  • @arklat they have 1 gear and no brakes and yes fast as hell to
