Strange Moth

its a burnished brass moth (Diachrysia chrysitis)

urm...haha, it might not be a moth come to think of it now! :s i just thought it wasnt like a butterfly, too small,or anything else ive ever seen, so i just guessed it was a moth...it flew like one haha,all over the place

Ah, the lesser spotted, multi-striped Ougle Wougle mouth, usually found in the land of PakaWakaWoo. Must have come in hidden in a Chimney fruit, a fruit that got its name by being popular with Victorian chimney sweep boys as its oiliness helped them to slide up and down chimneys, though also gave them exceptionally spotty faces. However one bite from this moth while you sleep and you turn into a politician. So best avoided.

It's amazing when you think about looking at Moths you think it would be rather boring. However it wasn't as boring as I thought, it was entertaining actually. =-)

a moth is kind of like a butterfly only a little darker and usually can only be seen at night :) so finding a gold one during the day definatly can be appreciated :)

it was ugly,made me think a bit of a dinosaur the way he area around its head was shaped,no idea why haha, i could submit the pictures to the natural history museium who should be able to tell me what type it is :)

and if its new,i may very well call it that! :D

I spent a lot of time online looking at various types of moths and couldn't find one that looked just like it- perhaps it's a new species?

it may very well be,all the millios of new types of moths that are out there, some not eve discovered yet, maybe i ought to send the images to the natural history museium who could confirm it for me! people have done it before and if it is a new species,i could give it a name :D

im going to have to get the pictures to them because i let him(or her) go :) id had it for a day and didnt wanna kill it so i let it out of the window :) supprisingly i think it slept all day long because barring the 15 seconds it streched its wings,it didnt make a move untill 4am!
