Ugh, I'm so mad that this isn't going to be playing when I go in February for my birthday. First it was Fantasmic! and then it was Flynn Rider. Geez, I just can't win.

Disney is walking on a thin thread with me right now.. But I'll get over it right quick. =)

i like the jungle book segment better than the lion king with its neon cutouts and such. its more lively. and the peter pan part over the pocahontas. its still a great show though. to me the whole bubble part seems like something theyd put up if something on the stage was malfunctioning

They relied a little too much and the water screen. I think they should have tried to make some of those scenes live. But still a great show by any standard.

When my family and I went to Disney, this was one of our most memorable experiances from our whole trip!!

So much cool music, stunts, and almost every character from Disney movies were involved so it makes everyone, every age happy and entertained!!

i went to orlando in 2003/2004...this show was just plain amazing...i found out that now they only show it twice a week because of the american idol experience...are they stupid? if i go again i would get pissed off if i couldnt see the show just because of some pricks trying to sing -.-

Show costs around $30,000 per show to put on. Very expensive and with park attendance falling I can't say I'm really surprised not can I complain much. AIE costs next to nothing in comparison to operate and Coca Cola footed the majority of the construction costs. Look on the bright side. Park attendance on days when Fantasmic is not running is even less which means short queue lines for Rockin an T of T.

good point...i remember that when i went there where these huge lines to enter the tower of terror and the rock n roller coaster...i wanted o enter both but i had to wait 3 HOURS in line FOR EACH RIDE...so i would have to wait 6 hours to ride 2 attractions o.0 i ended up picking the rock n roller...wich now i regret because i waited 2 hours and a half to enter a 30 second coaster (it wasnt a bad coaster tho,speccially cuz i love aerosmith...but i got pissed off for waiting so much time)...

maybe they have also tought of rising the ticket price...but since we are in recession i guess they tought it was a big risk...but they should raise it a little at least so they can present it at least 4 times a week....only my opinion

Ticket prices were raised as were parking rates. Disney raises them every year.

Think about what you just said. On the day you went to see Fantasmic, after the show the ride queues were 3+ hours for Rockin Rollercoaster.

Rockin Rollercoaster is the only coaster in HWS and is located right outside Fantasmic. Show lets out, where does everyone race to? That in itself is enough to clog the queues in minutes. The theater holds 6,500 seated and 2,500 standing guests.

Consider those on vacation, if the show is 2 days a week, which days do you think people will be at that park

@ncsbracergp94 Disneyland's version is #30,000 a showing, this one is about $25,000 per showing. Not sure why they only show this version 2 days a week. At Disneyland the only time they show it 2 times a week is durring the offseason. Durring the summer Fantasmic is shown 7 days a week at least 2 times a night, sometimes 3 at Disneyland.

@Picklesthedrummer7 A $5,000 difference is peanuts and numbers found online are only estimates. Unless you work for Disney. Do you? As I said before the main reason why the show was cut back was due to "The American Idol Experience" competing against Fantasmic which I would guess didn't thrill CocaCola very much considering they foot the bill for the construction of the attraction. This would explain why the show was not cut back in Disneyland. Shame DL doesn't have their Dragon anymore.

I love Disneyland's new dragon. But during the finale the smoke from the pyro entirely covers the stage. Disney World has a purpose built amphitheater with better wind control. And yes, the water screen sequences are too long. But regardless, I love both shows! Even though I'm partial to Disney World . Because it's close to me. Disneyland is on the other side of the country, also, Disney World as a whole is bigger and better than Disneyland.

Both versions are great, but here's what I don't like about the two versions:

Disneyland:

Dragon Scene to short

A lot of back light that blocks the lasers in the finale

WDW::

Long mist screens sequences

Pocahontas battle

Poor Dragon (compared to Disneyland)

Irregularity of effects (comets in Sorcerer's Sequence and lasers in the finlae)

Reduced performances

Yeah they had the Sorcerer's comets till about 2006 more or less, sad they took them out.. The long mist sequences: Could add some actors or something that are in the screen while the sequences run. Though they should redo most of the show, been 11 years already, F! at DLR got it's big redo 13-14 years later after the show was born. It's about time.

I agree. Disneyland's version is better now just because they have their new dragon. They would do it with Disney World as well, but it would just cost too much money, and they would need to reconstruct the entire stage, and re-calibrate the choreography of the entire show. Which I don't think they want to do right now, since "Murphy" is still causing problems at Disneyland.

I would have liked to have been able to include more of them however this trip was in January. Those of you who frequent Disney will back me on my reason for cutting more crowd content out. January is one of the peak months for the tour groups from Brazil. If you're not familiar with them do a search on any Disney forum. They were chanting and yelling at random during the show and trust me, you'd prefer them to be cut out.
