English is a Germanic language, the similarities allow dubbings that are pretty good.

A good poetic translation is about capturing the spirit rather than the letter of the original -- eg "it's multiplication, it's math education" in the original becomes "das Multiplizieren wird euch faszinieren" in German (0:37). Not the literal equivalent, but still in the spirit of the original.
