  • Hitler Schtunk

  • hitler is just frightning and hinkel is just funny xD

  • @mrgeorgemacho He's not frightening, he's just stupid.

  • Can't help but notice how the parts of Hinkel's speech included here are mostly the sillier parts rather than the ones where he actually convincingly impersonates Hitler.

  • @lol101lol101lol10199

    True. The uploader is biased.

  • My vote would have gone to Chaplin :)

    This man was pure genius!!

    Peace

  • this is a Propaganda movie(infact 1940 and not after war) , made to convince 200millions of statunitenses at the war and europe invaSION (by Jews of bankstein)! hollyjude (not hollywood)

  • its so weird tht they were born on the same year

  • hahahaha ROFLMFAO

    birds

  • @thecello2006... Not probaly,it is^^.But the movie is very funny

  • Note the likeness Charlie Chaplin put in his character, Hynkel. Note the similarities Hitler and Hynkel have in making their speeches. Chaplin watched reels of Hitler's speeches, paying attention to the way he uses his hands and his voice. An excellent impersonation I must say.

  • Charlie Chaplin - a small Jewish man from US Hollywood - laughed at Hitler while the dictator was still alive. If Hitler knew about this film I reckon he was pretty pissed.

  • @minnaihq Chaplin was a british man.

  • In fact, Hitler watched this movie approximately twice, according to what I have read.

  • @minnaihq charlie was British and not Jewish! he wrote that in his biography

  • Hinkel ftw!

  • ich würde sagen 1:0 für Hinkel

  • I just have to say this: Even though Hitler stands for about every value I oppose, he was the most charismatic person ever recorded on modern equipment, and no matter what the negativity of his calling, the way he used his voice is remarkable, and even though Chaplin is a great actor and comedian, his caricature of Hitler falls flat.

  • @Nylonbeast idk he didnt seem very charismatic to me... :/ but i suppose of what he was able to accomplish through the media and his speaking abilitys he was pretty convincing.

  • @Nylonbeast

there was nothing charismatic about that man. I know, i have also heard ppl say this that even though we all believe he was evil and killed many, his ideas for his country were really great and he was excellent and spell bounding speaker, but to me there is nothing great about trying to make a pure race by eliminating the others. He wanted to make all this for himself people like him are incapable of understanding the essence of true humanity.

  • @yllscin HEAR! hear!

  • He didn't have "great ideas". He was a mildly intelligent but cunning and brutal dictator with half-baked notions of racial superiority, that resulted in the deaths of millions. He and his followers represent all that is cruel and destructive in the human spirit. The only reason they deserve to be remembered at all, is to serve as a reminder of what happens when monstrous people gain power, and stupid, desperate people listen to what they say

  • @breeeegs I did not say he had "great ideas" i said other ppl THINK he had great ideas.. I meant to say exactly what you did.. :P

  • @breeeegs Anti-German

  • I am not anti-German at all. I am ant-fascist, anti-racist and anti-nazi. Keep in mind this is coming from someone whose grandfather's family perished in the Holocaust. If according to you all Germans are Nazis, than yes, I would have to say that I am anti-German, however, I do not think this is the case

  • @andrewMLhero Being anti Nazi has nothing to do with being anti German. because most Germans today are not racist scum bags. and you do not have to be from Germany to embrace idiotic Nazi ideals. any low life piece of crap that thinks he is superior to someone else because of his or her nationality, religion or skin color can be a Nazi loser ..

  • lol at 1:04

  • Charlie Chaplin takes the cake! He is far funnier than Hitler ever was!

Hitler was a douche! I had relatives in the holocaust!

  • @ballerinagirl74 i dont think hitler was trying to be funny though just saying.

  • @OriginofHaeddre I don't think he was trying to be funny

  • I think the ending sums up who won.

Adolf: 1889-1945. Chaplin: 1889-1977. Clearly, Chaplin won by about 30 years.

  • HINKEL !!!

  • hitler didn`t talk he barked

  • sieg heil

  • Hitler scares the crap out of me.

  • fuck... how can u pronounce it fluently?? :O:O lol xDD

  • Charlie Chaplin does Hitler better than Hitler himself

  • @juliajones92 infact each 2 are jews ! all history is a jude invention!

  • @sordi4ever no, not Chaplin! he didn't say, that he's jews! Just the press! but he also didn't say that he is not!

  • LOL! its more funny edited this way.

ps. Peace can only come as a natural consequence of universal enlightenment and merging of races, and we are still far from this blissful realisation, because few indeed will admit the reality...in which all Earth men are alike. There is in fact but one race, of many colours...so why do some people think themselves better than some other people? -NIKOLA TESLA

  • Sauerkraut :D

  • i always have to laugh a lot when i see vids of hitler

  • Those who cannot laugh at themselves deserve only mockery.

  • hallo from germany, chaplin is on of the best, and when we hear a speech of hitler (history channel or school) we allways started to laugh because we remember the film of chaplin ... its a great movie and its terrible that chaplin had got problems with the american goverment for this movie in that time ... at least a word to the war, nobody will forget the war .. I grow up in the GDR, after its end 1989-1990 people here started to think about what happend in the "war-years" .. chaplin helps us!

  • bacana

  • Yes, we have! In every single way. That twelve horrible years will never come back.

But in every country worldwide (including the USA) are living people, who close their eyes, when it comes to the crimes of that years, who havent changed their thinking. But be sure, these people will never get power in germany again, the whole country is against them.

  • oh believe me...they did...

the young generation is shocked and ashamed when thinking about what happend...and no one wants it to happen again....

  • Thank God! But some of them think till today, they r the best race in the whole world, regardles to ur educational level, u r always lower than them, when u r not German or Austrian, they still think in this way.

  • I think in every country, or group of people of any significant size, you will find people who believe that they are superior to outsiders because of their membership of the group. Sectarianism, racism and discrimination are not exclusively German

  • shut up, good video :D

  • id rather serve hynkel... cos hes got sense of humor unlike hitler...

  • didn't Chaplin die in '76, not '77?

  • He died the 25th of desember 1977

  • Hinkel Win

  • Agreed.

  • Hitler vs Bush would seem more appropriate right? Feeding us false patriotism and pride as premise for going to war, almost the entire country falling for it blindly... Yeah, that would seem about right.

  • Agreed. Right on. :)

  • Adenoid Hynkel :DDD

I love the Great Dictator..so funny.

  • hitler- location - hell

  • Oh yes he was. A power hungry, evil son of a bitch he was. Insane.

  • he was insane! he was everything he despised!

brown hair! brown eyes! he had like, something wrong with his brain! he had a grandfather or something with a messed up heart!

he was fucking crazy! if he really believed all that he said, he should have killed himself!

  • Hitler's voice played through loudspeakers is probably the most frightening thing in the world.

  • @thecello2006 agreed. but i guess only bcs ppl know what evil man he was :P

if he lived the life of a mankind hero we would probably consider his voice to be "tremendously charismatic" today.

  • @thecello2006 I still think Stalin was the scariest leader!

  • @thecello2006

It is. i guess its even more frightening when you dont understand what he is actually saying.

  • Comment removed

  • Absolutely. Its the voice of pure evil, base hatred and corruption, and its chilling because you know so many listened. The beautiful and inspiring words that Charlie Chaplin speaks at the end of The Great Dictator serve as an ironic counterpoint. Ironic because he is playing a Jewish character impersonating Hitler, and yet he is saying the exact opposite of everything Hitler represented

  • hitler n'a pas parvenu bien bien immiter chaplin ;)

  • c'est chaplin qui immite hitler

  • wchich one is for real??=]

  • the scenes with the real hitler are the real scenes

  • lol profound

  • hard to tell isn't it. lol! :]

  • Adolf Hitler was a mad man!

  • chaplin is genious actor

i never before seen this history document...

but hardly believe that somebody could believe in that

    more no comment

  • the scenes of the hitler are not a history document its a propaganda film by Leni Reifenstahl made in 1935 to glorify Hitler
