I'd love to see a re-imagining of the G1 continuity with the darkness you're talking about. What they've been doing is too kiddish for the genre.

I thought that, I own none of them but from watching reviews I do not think they are that great. I would get some of the marine life based Transformers but that is because at one stage of my life I wished to be a Marine Biologist!

But for me Beast Wars was and still my fav series again you can't beat the amazing storytelling and of course Beast Wars Megatron Yeeeees.......

But Animated still has to prove itself but it could beat BW if season 3 turns out to amazing and make me go "OMG THIS IS AWESOME!"

We are 3 or 4 episodes away from the end of Animated and as much as I love it, It will probably slip away from the greatness that is Beast Wars (From what I have heard anyway)

Did you get round to watching G.I. Joe: Resolute?

- The perfect format for a new Transformers show, IMHO. Also the tone of Resolute is very similiar to what you described (dark, gritty, uncompromising etc...)

As Dave said, I think they're considering trying it out with different franchises - Transformers would seem like a natural progression!

The local toy shop had RID up until two years ago.

I am thinking of buying a hd camcorder, what are you going to upgrade too?? I already have a Canon Digital SLR XTi, so I dont need another camera. My laptop camera isnt good enough, but I need to upgrade to something. Great Deal on the Optimus, lucky!!

I am not too sure yet. It is not so much about obtaining HD for me though, More about getting a decent camera. In fact since shops are pushing HD I may just grab a standard quality camera for a lot less than it would have been a year ago!
