  • just incase you havnt got round to fixing the sight...there is one for sale on ebay at the moment

  • nice gun

  • to me, deactivating a weapon is like neutering a pet. it renders it useless of what God intended it to do. when the police came around and said to people in the UK, you must either deactivate or destroy your now-illegal wepaons, gun lovers must have made a similar decision to either kill (destroy) or Neuter (deactivate) their pet. no one wants to make their wepon / pet defunct. but saying that, wouldn't you prefer a neutered pet, to a dead one?

  • do u have hitlers buzz saw?

  • @Ramonezs De-ac MG42's are stupidly expensive!

  • im thinking i might get this gun (deactivated) i it worth the price.

  • If you want to shoot it rambo style, who wouldn't? :D

  • have to say i love the gun like probly my fav gun. just wondering if you have mk1 or mk2 bren gun mags?

  • Beautifull piece of kit that. One of my friend's old man was on a bren carrier in Burma. Thanks for sharing

  • can you make it shoot ?

  • If its come from WWA then its probably Ex-Greek or Ex-Australian

  • thumbs up if your jealous of this guy

  • @WeaponCollector hi im wondering if this bren can be fully stripped because im thinking of getting one thanks

  • @southparkcolts Hi, No, this particular one does not, most places selling them should say if they can be strpped down though, but may cost alot more than this one.

    Mike.

  • Its pretty sad this is what happens to alot of nice old guns.

  • Push the pin at the back above the rear handle and youll find it does strip down nicely.

  • these bren guns were about 200 quid but now there increasing in price to about £300-£400

  • do u need a license for that over there lol

  • @rui769 no

  • I know what that collector is thinking...

    "One day...One day..."

  • It's so crazy that the US can real firearms but can't get deactivated guns like this.

  • Oh you can get deactivated guns in the U.S.... just seem to be quite a bit more expensive.....

  • I haven't seen any deactivated Brens. No deactivated AK's either.

  • Because of our BATFE, you need a deactivated that contains a dummy receiver, real receivers are treated as fire-arms, regardless of the ability of it to operate or not.

Better off buying a semi-auto A.K. and enjoying it's function with live rounds down range.

  • I have plenty of semi automatic AK's, it would just be nice to have a deactivated military one though. Can't even have that though.

  • well why we cant get deactivated guns is cuz we can make them back 2 full auto with parts which we can buy. once a sub machine gun allways a machine gun

  • i have a 1944 deactivated bren cocks and dry fires ... 12 and a half kilos of cool .. i live in the u.k it is for sale . i also have an underfolder ak47 ( deactivated )

  • the D is for Daimler who made most Mk1s

  • Bren is still manufactured by Indian Ordnance Factory Ishapore, as the "Gun, Machine 7.62mm 1B".

  • hi have you still got your bren gun for sale as i am very intrested but i can not find your email adress regards earl

  • Is the Bren shown still in the UK or do you have it here in the States?

  • its in the U.K

  • Worldwide Arms Ltd, in my experience, sell poor condition weapons - but this this looks excellent!

Good luck with the sight - that must hurt. If you carefully remove the split pin in the middle of the drum, it'll dismantle and you should be able to replace the sight bar - or at least remove it so that it can be repaired. This is legal.

'Phone around the militaria shops - someone's bound to have a spare rearsight bar. If you're worried about the repair, take the parts to a registered dealer.

  • care for a spot of Tea...Lol

  • you can buy the same bren gun at helston gunsmiths for £190

  • I looked on their website, the only ones i could find where £390, or another for £275, the actual shop may have a cheap one but the site doesn't.

looks like a good ship though, may buy some stuff from them sometime. got some real cheap AK'S on there.

    Mike.

  • sorry they must have gone up i purchased a no4 mk 1 and bren gun for £190 each but that was a year ago

  • Thats Cool, it looks like a great shop, and deacts come in many makes/models/and conditions, so they probably did do it for £190.

    Mike.

  • Probably a Bren Mk1m and/or a bastardised, knackered wpn. Most Brens seen for sale these days are.

Cheapest D/A Bren I've seen was £120 - a very worn but correct Mk1. Nasty spot weld on the side to keep the barrel permanently fixed - that could have been done on the INSIDE of the body... Pity.

  • is bren the same weapon as the japanese tipe 99?

  • amazing weapon!!!i wanna buy it!!!

  • Reminds me of a SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon). Lays down some very nice supressive firepower... a bonified Ass whipper!

  • Hi Mike

    very nice gun

I have a mossin nagant and a persian mauser and i'm looking for an automatic gun so...

    keep up the good work

ps. ill make a review myself 1 day xD

    grtz Sam

  • Nice sam, looking forward to thise video if you do them.

    Mike.

  • i didnt know you can have autos in the UK

  • it pains me to se a deactivated gun now it is usless it is like geting your nuts cut off.

  • my father owns a lee enfeild sniper rifle also how do you aim the machine gun if they have the clip right down or is it titled i coudnt see

  • Hi Zulthraze, both sights - front and rear - are positioned to the side of the gun, so that the magazibe doesn't get in the way.

    Mike.

  • similar to a type 99

  • is it legal for guns in the uk?????? with lisence

  • Legal for anyone to own - provided that the weapon has a *current* Proof House certificate.

  • nice!

  • I didn't know that it weighed 22 pound's not including ammo. That's a lot of extra weight to carry around all day. 5*

  • wow thats realy cool where i can get that

    :)

  • my dad has a nice real gun 2 from the 1st war =) idk wat kinda gun it is but it shoots big bullets

  • NICE GUN!

  • do you have trouble breathing? no offense just sounds differnet

  • lol, No not really, but i was standing very close to the camera.

i also think i may be getting a cold, my nose seems a bit runny too.

  • wasnt the L86 scrapped because of massive reliability problems?

  • Has it been scrapped? I never had ANY problems with the wpn. Not a single stoppage in years' of use. Admittedly, I never used it in the desert or Arctic.

When are these babies going to find their way onto the D/A market? :-)

  • Yeah, Im sure I read in some book that the L86 LSW was scrapped because of reliability problems. Probably the book was wrong or something.

  • The L86 LSW was replaced because when the SA80 (L85A1) was reworked by Heckler & Koch into the L85A2. Old SA80s were either binned or rebuilt to A2 standard. The L86A1 is mechanically identical to the SA80 & the FN Minimi replaced it due to better reliability & its rather handy dual feed system. It can take belt feed or 30rd NATO/M16 type magazines. The Bren is still a great weapon though, do you know that 7.62mm converted Brens saw service in the gulf war?

  • thats awsome 225 good for the price.

  • nice how much would one of those run 4

  • Hey deathdealer, mine was £225, i think.

  • oh not 2 steep was would u recommend it

  • wow thats bad ass

  • lol yeah and the shoot your man in the neck with the airgun lol

  • nice gun too bad you can't own it fully working! Too bad people had to disable such a nice gun. We can't even own a deactivated model of that lol.

  • I suppose Deactivated is still better than it rotting on some german beach where no one will ever see it again though.

    Glad you liked the Gun.

    Mike.

  • Wow I love WW2 stuffs really cool weapon !

  • Thanks Yeyah34, i love WW2 stuff aswell.

    Mike.

  • kickass!

  • Thanks Redsox.

  • Terrific Gun I Enjoyed! Nice Looking,Very Nice!

  • Thanks Quicksilver Glad you liked it mate, and i appreciate the comment, most people just moan how its doesn't fire anymore, lol,

    Mike.

  • 5 stars awful big paper weight lol

  • lol, Yeah, and a very nice looking one too.

  • reactivate?

  • DeActivated Because you notice he says you cant cock it because of the barrel is blocked... So it is DeActivated meaning unable to fire.

  • buy new parts and bada bing.

  • New parts required: Barrel, Body, Bolt.

If you can re-machine these parts, you can build a Gun from raw steel. Even with fully operational spare parts somehow acquired, the re-activating of a Gun like this would be hard work.

It's much easier buying a smuggled wpn from the continent.

It's a myth that D/As can be easily re-activated. The only people who actually could would already have an identical weapon but in a firing state.

  • snooping as usual i see?

  • Hard to do.

  • credit card.

  • With these new deactivations its virtually impossible to Re-activate them, they do lots of work to prevent then ever being fired again.

  • sweet 5 *

  • Thanks Afroman
