  • You can tell that one guys from the South, he uses GD and SOB in every sentence. lol

  • DIRTBAG mURTHA - SEE MORE AT idiots4obama com

  • Northern Virgina right on

  • Murtha is so full of shit all is well in Iraq!

  • Amen

  • About a month after the taped meeting with Murtha, the co-conspirator, lawyer Howard L. Criden, wrote in his affidavit: "Yesterday, Feb. 1, (Democrat Congressman Frank 'Topper') Thompson called and told me that Murtha was ready to go," adding that Murtha had indicated "during January that he was not ready to do business but would be willing to do so in the future."

  • This tape is about what, 1980's real estate?

  • I personally think that Murtha gets really uncomfortable at certain points in the video, like whenever the undercover agents start talking and trying to make clear that they want to bribe him. It's as if Murtha is questioning himself: "Is this legal or not?" To me, Murtha just seems like a man whom is unsure about what's going on. I don't know if that makes him corrupt or not.

  • LOL, it'd be a hoot if it came out years from now that he somehow had advance knowledge that this was a sting all along...

  • I considered the possibility that Murtha may have suspected that he was being set up, and that's why he never actually took the money.

  • It plays like a scene from a Martin Scorsese movie.

  • any attempt to read the intended meaning of "at this time" is a game for fools. reasonable doubt, people. thank god some of you weren't around at the birth of this nation.

  • fucking idiot disgrace

  • but but but he served in the military!!!

  • am i the only one who laughed at the first minute of this video...i mean, i thought i was watching david blaine setting up a magic trick...

  • Pelosi wants this guy as speaker?? My god, drain your OWN swamp!

  • Rep Murtha never reported this attempted bribe, which is a violation of the law. He testified against other congressmen to get off. He WAS NOT INNOCENT. He was a co-conspirator who ratted on his colleagues. He's both a criminal and a rat.

  • Blame congress he was acquitted on all charges. Whatever you think of Murtha the man he is today is not afraid to speak up and tell the truth no matter who tries to bring up his past He didn't send thousands off to war with no plan and leaving them out there to control a situation that will obviously disrupt no matter what we do. If I can't control your thoughts you certainly can't control the Middle East

  • Actually, he was not acquitted of anything, as he was never charged with anything. The Justice Department named him as an unindicted co-conspirator, which means he was involved in a criminal conspiracy but was not indicted for his involvement. Also, Congress declined to bring Rep. Murth before the ethics committee. My issue with him is he obviously was interested in doing biz with the "Arabs," but he would have done it on a much sneakier level, with bank transfers, etc.

  • "at this point" means "I'll get back to you if I switch parties".

  • Yeah, like all those wonderful dems never do anything wrong! Chappaquiddick, Patrick "I was on Ambien" Kennedy and his drunk driving, Robert "white niggers" KKK Byrd, Harry Reid's Nevada land scandal (and his LOBBYIST SONS), William Jefferson (D, Louisiana) and his 90,000$ in cash in his freezer, AND ON AND ON AND ON! At least republicans RESIGN when they screw up.

  • If that were the case your boy Bush would be long gone

  • Where is Part 3? You don't show the part where he turns down the bribe and gets up and walks out! This is not the full Abscam video.

  • Cut and run, how does it feel to be such a brain dead robot that any right wing talking point becomes part of your everyday language?

  • lol sounds like what Democrats do as well. Amazing how so few notice how dems and repubs are so much alike. And fools continue to vote for em. LOL!

  • Don't you people know that only Republicans are corrupt?

  • A politician who wouldn't take a bribe....whoda thunk it?

  • Actually, Murtha intimates that he might be interested in it later, or in a less direct form such as a contribution to one of the people who funded his campaign. He also never reported the attempted bribery to the FBI as required by the congressional ethics rules. The only one involved in the sting who actually turned down the bribe and then notified the FBI was a Republican.

  • Here is your elected cut-and-run Senator Murtha in action. He was not insterested in the 50K bribe "at this point".

  • Murtha is not a Senator, he's a Representative.

  • True ~ My bad! Damn shame either way! Thanks for correcting me

  • haha, Murtha isn't a senator, he's a bargain shopper!

  • He did not take it did he??? Cut-and-run or stay-and-pray, take your pick... By the way, he's not a senator but a representative....

  • See for yourself
