So 4 that guy, talking 2 N Korea 2 stop their ballistic missiles program, is much better than building weapons systems. Yeah, asking people like Kim Jong Il has always showed results... These anti-military hippie dorks never stop amazing me with their stupidity.
well i liked the show, thanks for uploading it. But I disagree with presenting it as negotiations or missile defence issue when you can have both. Keep negotiating while advancing SDI tech so u can say " oh u finally used 40% of your GDP on ICBM and got it? Too bad we spent 0,001% of our GDP and got SDI and ICBM, jokes on you".
Ah, the blatant all makes sense now. The end credits reveal the program was produced by the "Center for Defense Information," a left-wing advocacy organization opposed to missile defense. Funny how it's presented as a straight news program but in actuality it's nothing more than propaganda.
To be fair, CDI is credited in the intro as well. I agree this is not one of their better shows, which too bad because 1) I wrote and produced it, and 2) in spite of its flaws, it's still relevant. Cheers.
I'm not a big fan of SDI, but it's interesting how biased this turns at the end, calling all threats "3rd world" to discount them, especially in the wake of historical events showing the continued pursuit of nuclear weapons by N. Korea and, presumably, Iran. Personally, I still like MAD, because any country with 5-10 nukes with shoddy delivery systems will have to face the idea of complete an utter annihilation, as long as our leadership has the guts to follow through on the theory of deterence
It's funny how naive this scientist is, 8 years later n Korea has denotated 2 nuclear bombs, fired ICBM missiles, Iran is now close to obtaining nuclear technology, should we still not invest in SDI ?
