  • Now that I know the lyrics to this song, it makes its usage in The Master and Margarita even more ironic!

  • Hello, I put a 1929 Paris version of Hallelujah in the video response. Recorded - still acoustic ! on a Pathe Disque Henry sapphire disc. The french lyrics are horrible! : )

  • charming!!!!

  • Clearly audible whistling! A great restoration job on this remarkable version.

  • I have the original copy of this as well. You did a good job cleaning up the signal.

  • Beautiful

  • I, too, love those whistles. Thanks for the "pick me up" with those cheery words and melody.

  • Hallelujah! 2009

Love the song and the Spicy magazine cover!

How does that New Year's Baby manage to dance on the table and not kick off those Champagne glasses?

  • "Niech pam nie buja mego wuja, niech pan pobuja raczej mnie"

  • A wonderful version. Splendid orchestration (These spooky whistles!) and lovely upbeat vocal. And these jazzy illustration are a perfect accompaniment. Hallelujah!

  • Very nice version! It's a lovely song. In France, it's Alibert which recorded this song in 1929.

  • I love the orchestration particularly after the verse...it's all great, made my favs!!

  • Alway's liked Shilkrets version of this. Big band, sounds a bit like Whiteman.
